Almost gave blood today. They were so kind as I was updating my name and my gender. The issue now was my iron wasn’t high enough to safely give. But I am glad to see progress on the US Red Cross towards being inclusive.

One thing #Bluesky has done that’s pretty cool is being able to choose a moderation service. I think this is a concept that either apps or Fediverse software could learn from because it does reduce load on individual instances.

Competition is never a bad thing as we all get a chance to innovate and learn from eachother.

I just got a nasty DM out of nowhere from a former friend that I had a falling out with. They blocked me before I could respond.

The thing is this is just another harassment towards an already overly harassed and maligned trans woman. They could’ve just blocked me and moved on. I have nothing but kindness for this individual and all I get is harassment. Why can’t people be kind?

I do not miss Facebook or Instagram at all.

I don’t miss Bluesky (never was on it, if they won’t federate with ActivityPub it isn’t worth my time).

I don’t miss X. I don’t miss Snapchat. I don’t miss TikTok.

This last two weeks I also terminated Nextdoor and Telegram. (Fun fact, Telegram just announced they are monetizing content using the blockchain).

To be fair I’m still on YouTube, but you have to pick your battles.

Goodbye and good riddance to these platforms where I was the product.
