Well, I'll never find it again, but many years ago I read about a study linking tv ads and depression. Something about the interruption was a trigger. It rang very true for me, and I've avoided such ads since.

Should I pay for YouTube? Yes, I should. I use it tons. But now that I'm being forced, I'm a lot more likely to just wean myself off. Thing is, this isn't about supporting creators. We all fucking know it's about greed. And I'm so sick of it.

A Darkness at Blaisedon was a failed tv pilot, and it's a shame, because I think the show could have been a blast. Despite being full of clichés, and taped rather than filmed, it was still enjoyable.

People who do voice recording, I am at the end of my gd rope.

At the start of every clip, the first word is either chopped or distorted. I can get loud later in the clip and it's fine. It just affects the first word.

I've tried 3 different mics (condenser, dynamic, directional), I've tried Audacity and Reaper, I've adjusted levels until I'm blue in the face.

At this point, I'm reduced to shouting a random word before I start speaking.

I hope someone knows wtf is going on.

I think it might be fun to have contests to pour exact amounts of liquid to see who has the best measurement sense. It could be a party game and you have to drink the difference in booze.
