Philadelphia 30th Street Station

Although my train stops this station, it’s been a few years since last time I actually used this station 🤔
I had good 30 minutes that I wanted to spend in a bar while waiting for a train - the bar was closed (probably permanently) 😢

At least, this is a gorgeous looking station to visit once in a while 😉

It was very hard to fly fish – the creek was full of colorful fallen leaves 😐

Slow moving water – full of leaves on the surface. Fast moving water – full of leaves in the water column. My flies hit leaves. So, I was able to make fish happy😊

While walking at the edge of a golf range, I met a family of deers. A mom and three kids. The mom disappeared into the bush, the one of the kids followed her, then another kid, but it took a bit longer for the last kid to follow the mom. It is a sunny evening, grass and bushes are bright yellow.

Another busy week ahead, I spent about an hour and a half before the sunset on this local creek, just 6 min drive away from my home 😊

It was right after a pouring rain, the water was muddy. But fish were active where the water was slower. I kept a couple of survivor trout (from the spring stocking - put and take fishery) for my pescatarian meals😉

Spent some free time after youth soccer games before the team dinner 😊

One of dads told me about this lake close to our hotel, we both thought of fishing, and we both had the equipment, but we decided not to - also did not want to pay a lot for non-resident fishing license for only a couple of hours or even less😉

This park seems to be a great place to relax 🤔

This river is huge - it is the longest river in the US East Coast. I saw a lot of fish rising, but I didn’t fish. I just enjoyed the view of this great river 😉

This is sad - this creek is beautiful, has colder water compared to the neighboring creeks, and used to have wild trout. But this is now basically a put and take fishery. Stocked trout may also been exposed to a lot of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers 😞

But I still like fishing and walking along this creek 😊

This pool is a locally popular spot for fishing, swimming, and picnicking. The fallen tree served as a support for a tire swing and a rope for jumping into the pool 😊

The recent heavy rain caused some changes in the creek landscape, including this bank erosion, causing the tree to fall into water. Yesterday, I was standing at the bank about 300 meters upstream of this pool - the bank collapsed and I got into water 😅
