Is there some sort of systemd event or trigger when a Bluetooth I/O device (a mouse in my case) is attached or removed?

Wondering if I could use this to automatically (and emphatically) disable my laptop's touchpad when the mouse connects.

@Taffer each device is represented by a device unit.
Compare the output of "systemctl --legend=no list-units --type=device" when your device is connected and when it isn't.

Use this, to trigger a service unit that does, whatever you want to when the device is connected, e.g. through "BindsTo="

Just to note: the OpenLDAP Project has never required copyright assignment - code you contribute is yours, forever. The Project only requires that your contribution be made available under the terms of the OpenLDAP Public License, or compatible terms.

This also means the code the Project distributes can never be unilaterally relicensed by the Project itself, since it doesn't own all of the code.

    @tagesschau dort, wo man Energiepflanzen wie Mais ersetzt, sehe ich überhaupt kein Problem.
    Der Energie-Output der gleichen Fläche wird damit rund 75x erhöht und die bislang ökologisch tote Fläche als Biotop gestaltbar gemacht.
    Ähnlich sehe ich es für Tierfutterpflanzen, welche im Endeffekt einen unglaublich ineffektiven Weg Nahrungsmittel zu erzeugen unterstützen.

    Sehe einen wirklichen Konflikt nur dort, wo es um Anbauflächen für Pflanzen geht, welche direkt zu Lebensmitteln verarbeitet werden

    @ve7fim I still remember USB support in the Linux-Kernel, but without hotplug, so plugged in devices only worked after a reboot! 😅

    Ihr habt sicher mitbekommen: das Kreuzfahrschiff "Norwegian Dawn" durfte tagelang keinen Hafen anlaufen, weil angeblich Cholera an Bord war.

    Deutsche #BehördenIT ist manchmal doch irgendwie erschreckend.
    Heute im Rathaus: digitale Unterschriften wurden auf diesem Wacom-Tablet gemacht, welches offensichtlich unter Win10 läuft und in der Taskbar sind offensichtlich diverse fragwürdigen Dinge offen.

    Ich erwarte hier eigentlich eine immutable Umgebung, die nach jedem Vorgang oder spätestens nach jedem Mandanten zurückgesetzt wird.

    Habe fast das Gefühl, dass das die erweitere Taskleiste der Sachbearbeiterin ist.

    Hier sieht man den ganzen Unsinn einer Fahrradmitnahme im Zug einmal kondensiert.

    Dies ist schon für platzsparende Version, aber die dafür ist sie nicht AAA.

    Man stelle sich das nun in voll vor, werfe noch ein paar Leute mit Gepäck und schweren E-Bikes ins Rennen, und jetzt wollen eine Hand voll von denen gleichzeitig aussteigen und Gepäck aufladen.

    So etwas kann es geben, aber nicht als Regelfall in skalierbar und im Nahverkehr, womöglich zur Spitzenzeit.

    Well, that's a first for me.

    Ich baue in meinem Kopf ein Kartenhaus. Wenn ich es fertig habe, kann ich vorsichtig darauf steigen und das Problem lösen.

    Es ist fast soweit, dann höre ich aus dem Nebenzimmer „kannst du kurz kommen?“

    Ein Windstoß geht durch meinen Kopf und alles ist kaputt.

    Ich bin frustriert.

    @ArneBab hier ist auf Grund der räumlichen Situation eine wirkliche Trennung zwischen Arbeits- und Wohnbereich nicht möglich. Ich habe in einer Radviertelstunde Entfernung einen Platz im Coworking.
    Im Alltag (Auswirkung auf Betreuungssituation durch terminliche Konflikte etc. meiner besseren Hälfte, kranke Kinder etc) komme ich aber nur 1-2x pro Woche für einen wirklich produktiven Tag dahin. Ich will mir gar nicht vorstellen, wie sowas aber für Alleinerziehende etc aussieht...

    @Pasknalli für Absprachen Bedarf es Personen, die mit denen Absprachen getroffen werden können und einen strukturierten Alltag, der das erlaubt.
    Kinder machen einen guten Teil davon zunichte, eine Lebenspartnerin in einem Berufsfeld, welches viel Flexibilität erfordert, selbst aber keine bietet, den Rest.

    Zukunft Fahrrad hat mit Einführung des Deutschlandtickets für eine vereinfachte Fahrradmitnahme lobbyiert. Nun streben Teile der Ampel eine Vereinheitlichung an. Damit würde ein wichtiger Meilenstein genommen werden: der Einstieg in die Intermodalität. Unser Leiter Politik, Alexander Rosenthal, argumentiert für eine solche Anpassung, etwa im Podcast des @vdv_verband oder auf der polisMOBILITY.

    Sometimes I dream of going bankrupt, so $Employer will be finally forced to use a more sane set of tools.
    The incoherence between their tools is mindboggling, the lack of addressing fundamental UI/UX issues since many years is pure neglect and disdain towards their actual users, the friction caused by these horribly bloated products might be more severe than not having them in the first place.
    This platform is stuck in the past and not moving forward!
