Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, I don't know a lot about the great depression.

But I've been thinking about the great depression lately, for reasons that I assume are fairly self evident, and I'm thinking about the mechanisms that enabled it, and I'm drawing conclusions and modern parallels.

I don't know if these conclusions are right, or if these modern parallels are sensible. I don't know the inner secrets of the universe. These are just some things I'm thinking about.

Having an AI ("Windows Recall" is enabled by default) that tracks every move you do on your computer and of course has no filter (Microsoft's own FAQ clearly states it will remember every password you type) is idiotic. But Tech bros are frothing at the mouth for anything AI so here we are.

Looking at the settings, it seems you can exclude certain apps, but you still have to customise it.

TBH, wouldn't this be incredibly dangerous in domestic abuse situations? Even if everything is done locally, an abusive partner could spy on everything!

So, this was released today. My third stamp with Canada Post. Qarlinngua (The pants). And technically my second stamp with a family member in it, as the tiny figure in it is my son Travis. Now for one with Hilary in it.

I’ve very proud of all of these, beyond the cache. They are about my home, and family. And also my family has a long history with the Post Office, 101 years. My grandfather, father, and brother were all postmasters in Roblin.

There was an idea that aired on the #BBCRadio4 programme Genius around 15 years ago that was similar in some ways: have a duvet that wraps around a double-bed so that if one person hogs the thing and pulls it towards them, it just rolls around the bed and the other person gets the bit from below (if that makes sense). I thought that idea had legs, but AFAIK no-one has made one (at least not since it aired)...
