Traveling though airport. I love the Prince store, the accordian player and all the Up North and stores. But where is the new ? Theres not even any flag merch in the Mn themed stores. Lots of plaid tho.

Anyone remember that Andy MacDowell movie where she's tricked into loving a man because he keeps repeating the same day over and over, learning more about her every time until she "falls in love" with him? So much so that she doesn't realize that she's being manipulated?

Very disturbing ending.

@Mrfunkedude OR, she unwittingly manipulates him into becoming a better person, leaving behind his self centered narcissism, moulding him over "time" into her ideal partner by revealing his vast personal deficiencies, until suddenly there exists a universe in which she would date him. She holds all the power, not him.

The work on the park in Pelican Rapids appears to be complete. The dam replaced by rapids, Pelican Pete freshly painted, a new pedestrian bridge across river, and the former bottom of Mill Pond now grassy instead of muddy.

@lwbadger Thats quite an improvement. A friend of mine on the watershed board said that this was a major step toward restoring trout and sturgeon on the Ottertail river. And Pete isn't all rusty anymore.

Back in my college days, my go-to hangover treatment was an Arby's Giant roast beef sandwich, large curly fries and their largest Coke. Something about the combination of salt and caffeine, carbs and protein in that meal always made me feel better.
I don't abuse alcohol like that any more. But if I did, I'd head to straightway. Even though I never eat fast food, I'd make an exception for a hangover.
This is on my mind because one of my kids doesn't look so good this morning.

My biggest #gripe with #Mastodon is reach and the ability to discover stuff outside of chronological scrolling. Lists in #BlueSky make that better. Imho the algorithms in #Threads are too intrusive.

If there were simpler ways to connect with different topics on here it would make it excellent, to me at least. I guess it might come down to why you use different social media.

@Cstnskld I second hashtags. Fedilab lets me follow those I find interesting. Works well for me. When i find someone I like, I dive into their feed, often finding more interesting people thru their boosts.

I've been hunting for this specific typeface/font for ages, but can never find it. It was used for cinema light box/marquees in the UK in the 1960s-1980s. It's close to some of the usual suspects (Gill Sans, Human521, Futura, DIN, Century, etc ), but no cigar. Any ideas?

@HopelessDemigod Foshay is such an awesome art decco structure. Ive stayed at the W Hotel Foshay. The bar at the top, the museum and view from the balcony are amazing.

My view out the window riding the city bus today. Bus wrap #advertising makes travel miserable. Advertising wrap over bus windows says to bus riders that they dont deserve a view of their city or a comfortable ride.

Years ago I was lucky to see what became known as the Mifflin #meteorite. Very bright, flashing, colorful. It traversed a long path. I will never forget it.

Heading to in hopes that will finally win a game for me. I have to travel 500 miles RT to watch the Loons. I see about 3 games per season. Havent seen them win in person in three years. If they don't win today, my miles-to-win ratio drops to 5,000/0.
