Random game thought: I’ve been thinking about a game controller with three joysticks, but I can’t come up with a good enough reason to have the extra one. Two joysticks seems to cover everything, right? Have we reached peak game controller? What could we map to a third stick? The closest to a good reason I could think of would be radial menus, but you can easily do those with a modifier and one of the other sticks right? #gamedev

My instinct to capitalise the 'object' in 'sub object' keeps slipping me up when I use Unreal's CreateDefaultSubobject function. Gah! I want to capitalise the object SO MUCH!!! #UE5

    I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who ever replied to any rant, cry for help or daft thing I've posted since being on Masto. However, I'm no good with Masto. Some of you I don't know how to contact, can't find you no matter how I spell your handle in the search. Following you & clicking the bell doesn't seem to help. I realise DMs are not private.     lol Bing is down, and immediately, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia etc are also down, hopefully reminding people that those are simply alternative front-ends to Bing..

    We really need more proper alternatives, with their own indexing, ideally paid. (And no, Kagi isn't it - that's also mostly a frontend for Bing/Google)

    My tip would be: try to not look back at smoking with nostalgia, but with hatred. You were enslaved by a murderous industry, now you're free. That mindset worked very well for me

    People on both the left and right tend to be against "climate alarmism", but consider this..

    Half the populace doesn't vote rationally, but emotionally. Currently, they are voting right wing, because those parties use this to scare them into hating immigrants and LGBT people and whatnot.

    So why not co-opt this strategy?

    Make them fear the climate apocalypse - hey, it's not even a lie - and you might steal a lot of those emotional voters, and for a good cause no less!

    I made some comments on a Palestina demonstration video on youtube, but they got deleted/hidden.. video uploader says they didn't do it. Other people also complain of their comments being gone..

    Does Google delete pro-Palestinian comments? The pro Zionist ones are still up 😠 Would love to hear if other Youtube users recognize this! Kind of a big thing if true imho..

    ps. my comments didn't include any "bad language" whatsoever! It was in a normal conversation..
