Finally watched First Blood (Rambo 1) for the first time. It's actually a really sad movie depicting the neglect of US veterans after coming back from the Vietnam War and their lack of mental health support from PTSD. I cried at the end. Amazing movie.

@ancient_catbus the fact that BlueSky is smaller but with a stronger willingness for Twitter users to migrate towards it speaks volumes about them doing something correctly with their design. (Not to negate their profit motives and moderation controversy though; they still have a lot to work on.)

    I wrote a blog post about why the long-term loss of what Twitter used to be sucks, if you want to see a more business-side perspective on its decline, and why social media is crucial for small creators in general.

    That said, I'm immensely glad the site is burning to the ground. That place hasn't been okay for ages, and it's unlikely to recover.
