This is a full 40% of the electorate.

With voter suppression, gerrymandering, Russian interference, etc. they can get away with a lot.

It's how he got elected in the 1st place.

Few people remember that when he was elected the margin of victory in several key states was EXACTLY the same.
That is statistically impossible unless there was some kind of fraud.

This time ALL the stops will be pulled, and indeed are already being pulled.

Men who post frequently to #socialmedia apps are perceived as less manly.

In 4 experiments with over 1,300 participants, men were judged to be "needy" and more feminine if they were posting a lot -- but women were not perceived to be more feminine, even after the experimenters controlled for gender, age, political beliefs and social media use of the people who participated in the study.

This all assumes that people would actually work together in these kinds of extreme situations, which is doubtful.

The guy down the street's plan is to wipe out all those cooperative folks and eat all the food and take their stuff.

Maybe it's best to avoid this scenario in the first place rather than fear mongering.

    A journalist recently noticed something strange about the New York City housing market. During the peak of the COVID crisis in NYC, the city lost close to seven percent of its population as people either died or moved away.

    The real estate vacancy rate was close to twenty-five percent.

    Since then, according to an array of parties with considerable interest in rents, the population of NYC has rebounded. As a result, housing is once again scarce and rents have soared.

    Except…there’s no actual indication that the city’s population has actually rebounded, and certainly not by enough to explain soaring rental prices. After all, the city’s population had already started to decline before 2020.
