Asking for proof of what is an open secret on lemmy seems disingenuous.

I think that instances like hexbear, lemmygrad, and lemmy.ml are very bad advocates for Lemmy and will most likely end up damaging it more than anything else, keeping the “normies” out.

They argue in Bad faith, say the most radical stuff they can think of, and purge anything bad said about totalitarian regimes they idolize. China, Russia, Iran, all considered victims of the evil west…

• invasion of Ukraine > NATO forced Russia to do it

Whoa it’s even worse than the title suggest:

appointed a man to a top state prison post even though he had previously been fired from a local police force for receiving oral sex from a teen girl in a post office parking lot.

• He had sex with a minor he committed statutory rape apparently anyone over 16 is legal in arkansas.
• Lewd behavior in a public place.
• While he was a cop (and in a position of power over people)
• He is appointed to a top prison post (where he has a position of power over people even more).

How come he was fired and is not in jail plus a registered sex offender?

Apparently he got fired because he got caught.

I cannot understand how conservatives in the us that do not buy in to the maga talking points can still vote for their party.

They have seen the checks and balances in action so all they need to do is stay home one election cycle to give a clear signal… this is not the direction they want. This will force the Republican party to face the maga extremists and go back to their normal ways. Which still is not good but at least not beholden to a narcissist wannabe dictator.
