Israel just bombed a tent city full of #refugees who fled North #Gaza for #Rafah on the #IDF's orders.
Horrifying photos show families frantically rummaging through the carnage for the limbs of their family members. I won't reproduce them here, but they can be found on the bird site from @gazanotifications
They are murdering poor people trapped in a concentration camp, in the places they were told to flee for safety. They are killing impoverished, innocent, starving Palestinians, mostly under 30, with nowhere else to go.
This brutality is unparalleled in my lifetime. All studies show that Israel is in a class of its own, outdoing the Dresden bombings by a landslide. Saying this is not antisemitic: it is your duty, whoever you are.
I am #Jewish: spiritually, scholarly, and Litvak Ashkenazi. It's not antisemitic for me, OR ANY NON-JEW to say. In fact, its every human's duty to call for this bloodshed to cease IMMEDIATELY, and to even call for this genocidal Zionist occupation to be dismantled before there is any more blood shed. Nothing keeps my heart beating like my Arab and Muslim comrades speaking out against this barabarism every day. All while facing the harshest consequences of anyone! This ugliness would quite literally drive me to kill myself if I didn't know so many people who are so brave.
I have been doing activism in Palestine since 2012, both boots-on-the-ground defense of protestors, and teaching programming. These are not antisemites; my Palestinian friends are as close to me as any others. And I have had 6 students murdered in Gaza in 120 days. All the others are starving, fleeing from tent city to tent city, trying to survive the most hellish circumstances of drone democide any people have ever witnessed in the history of humanity. Thats a simple fact now.
If you are a goy and claim to support this in our name, WE WILL REMEMBER. The vast majority of #Jews outside of Israel who are under 40 years old are anti-Zionists today. All the fastest growing Jewish organizations of the past decade are anti-Zionist. And we will not forget those who cheered on a 21st century #Holocaust while evoking the memory of our family members killed by Nazi #Germany. Especially not the #Germans, who have been by far the worst inciters and supporters of genocide outside of #Israel.
Catherine Russell: "A humanitarian ceasefire will save lives. It will allow for the expansion of the humanitarian response, and help provide the best protection for children whose lives and futures are hanging in the balance.”
JP Morgan Chase is a funder of Atlanta’s Cop City, the genocidal regime in Israel, the Mountain Valley Pipeline, as well as numerous capitalist and imperialist projects destroying the earth and causing immense suffering. It must be stopped by any means necessary…
Chemically Imbalanced: Everyday Suffering, Medication, and Our Troubled Quest for Self-Mastery
Chemically Imbalanced is a field report on how ordinary people dealing with common problems explain their suffering, how they're increasingly turning to the thin and mechanistic language of the "body/brain," and what these encounters might tell us.
Politicians want to improve our worsening mental health with big psychiatric initiatives. The problem with this model, says historian of #neuroscience Danielle Carr, is that it ignores the social and structural forces causing widespread #mental#suffering.

The Art of Transforming Suffering
The secret to happiness is to acknowledge and transform suffering, not to run away from it. Here, Thich Nhat Hanh offers practices and inspiration transforming suffering and finding true joy.
Tom Nichols gets it 90% right in his latest @TheAtlantic post: If democracy dies in the next several years, he says, blame Trump, his democracy-loathing cabal, the Republicans in general, and feckless voters who miss what's at stake.
But while he mentions the press, he doesn't assign nearly enough responsibility to its cowardice and willful refusal to a) recognize what's at stake and b) actively fight to save our system.
Please Keep Marching for Palestine – Your Protests Are Giving Hope to the People of Gaza
Amid tragedy, the demonstrations in our name make us feel that we are heard, and our cries are not in vain
The kindness of strangers, often thousands of miles away: this pulls us out of that feeling of hopelessness. Seeing this, I cannot help my eyes filling with tears. It shows people care and our suffering is felt.
“Classically, a terrorist provokes a state in order to generate so much suffering among his own people that they will take the terrorist’s side indefinitely.”
“Unlike Israelis, who are shocked and feel they must urgently act, Hamas has been working out this scenario for years. The people carrying out the bestial crimes follow a plan that anticipates an Israeli reaction.
Classically, a terrorist provokes a state in order to generate so much suffering among his own people that they will take the terrorist’s side indefinitely.”
The EU-funded so-called Libyan coast guard rammed a boat in distress and forced 50+ people to fall into the water. There's more and more footage of them doing so now. Here's a video posted by Sea Watch.
Let us be crystal clear: the European Union is funding this.

Humans, corporate greed, overpopulation, capitalism. I think it says it all.
I am sick of how we treat animals. They suffer for no reason. Not to mention even ourselves, underpaid workforce, suffering also, thanks to our shiny big fucking C A P I T A L ism. I ain't no socialist, but this is not a great system.
This kid slaughtered a man who was dancing in a parking lot because he was #black and #gay, and his lawyer has the nerve to describe him as a "good #Christian boy". I suppose nothing represents #Christianity better than the unprovoked #murder of a man for no reason other than the color of his skin, and his perceived #sexuality. Christianity is a barbaric religion that is responsible for more human #suffering than any other cause in history. They're not good people.
