"Consider that in the history of many worlds, there have always been disposable creatures. They do the dirty work. They do the work that no one else wants to do because it's too difficult or too hazardous.... You don't have to think about their welfare, you don't think about how they feel. Whole generations of disposable people."
Dinner last night was at #ScumAndVillainyCantina . I'd heard of it but didn't really know where it was and hadn't really thought about it since I'd heard about the pop-up location several years ago. Luck led us there last night.
The basic theme is the cantina from #StarWars , though I was amused that quite a few signs were done in the style of #StarTrekTheNextGeneration computer panels. The food and drinks are named after a host of geek franchises, 1/3
One of my friends is a Monsignor in the Catholic Church. He recently sent me this. (And yes, the meme should say "St. Augustine" who was indeed African.)
(It's #HootinTootinTuesday again! Post some jokes or funny memes under this hashtag today, and bring lots of smiles to #Mastodon.)
"Ian McKellen Told Patrick Stewart to Reject ‘Star Trek’ Offer and Stay in Theater, Admitted Later He Was Wrong: ‘You Can’t Throw That Away to Do TV. No!’"
Watch out folks I'm gonna live toot this shit in a thread. Subsequent toots will be CW'd so I don't spoil this masterpiece of a show. #StarTrek#LowerDecks
It’s a small universe after all — we got to chat it up with Brian Tochi about his roles in Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Might we hear him in a future Humanist Trek episode or two? Here’s hoping! 🖖🏼
