Wow, I just got #arbtt capturing to run with a #wlroots based #wayland compositor (like #sway, I use #river) and it was surprisingly simple. Just run this command once per minute:
lswt --json | jq '{date:now|strftime("%FT%TZ"),rate:60000,inactive:0,windows:map({title,program:.app_id,active:.activated}),desktop:""}' | arbtt-import -a -t JSON
I have also a homegrown solution to set the inactive flag, but it’s not as pretty.
I'm a sucker for old bridges, so here are a couple over the Brazos River in Texas that I spotted from the highway and visited during my drive on Thursday.
I had some work in Latrobe today and after went to Warrawee Forest Reserve with the Mersey River flowing through. Amongst other things I saw some platypus and a sea eagle. But the highlight was a flock of Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos. I've only ever seen family groups of between 2 and 6 birds before, but there must have been 200 in this group. Their noise and flight was beautiful.
I only have a phone for photos so they are never great, but I took this reflection in a pool and a large group of Black Cockatoos are clearly visible.
So wanting to love #Yambar and have most of it working how I like with the exception of the battery modules poll-interval doesn't seem to work. If I quit yambar and start it again the battery status updates but only on start up.
I think I'll script it myself as that'll work for sure.
Also I wish there was a way to update the variables that are displayed on the fly say from an on click option. #Wayland#River#RiverWM
