i admin the rap.social instance & have been working with 'puters since i was an 8-year-old with a 2400 baud modem. currently, i work at a lisp-based software development company as an i.t. manager, primarily focusing on #unix, #linux, and network security.

i love #art & have been working towards a full #tattoo bodysuit for 17 years now. i'm getting close to achieving that goal. additionally, i'm in the process of putting together a documentary (book) about tattoo collecting, as well as a podcast.
beyond that, i have two #chihuahuas that mean the world to me. i also spend a lot of time on fitness-related activities & participate as a physique competitor. additionally, i am a citizen of the #mvskoke tribe & i care a lot native causes.
For a more sustainable #future: #fraunhoferizfp is participating in the #research project "H2SkaProMo" to make the #production of #hydrogen#fuelcells more flexible and scalable and thus more efficient. The total funding amounts to 7.4 million euros.

A little video of the blinking chaser happening for my ART LOVE MONEY sculpture topper. The fast speeds are nice for the sense of urgency when the timer is on... I think a slower fade between the colors will be nice for non timed modes.
The bottom will also be RGB- but out of sync with the top- so there should be a bit of color mixing.

If you're not 'optically challenged' like myself, it's likely that sound is just one of those things you don't necessarily think about very often.
Consider however, the sound of the cars passing outside, the birds in the trees, the engine on your bus, car or train to work.
AS well as what your eyes tell you, there's an absolutely fascinating world to be found with the help of your ears, too.
The next time you're on a train, in the back of a cab or perhaps in a cafe drinking your beverage of choice, try closing your eyes and considering whether you can tell what's going on around you simply by the noises in your environment.
Is someone in loud shoes walking toward you and pulling out a chair at the next table?
Is the sound of the person who just got on the train one of someone who's happy, or just trying to get to work?
Sound-listening can be just as interesting as people-watching.
In any case, here's a little story I made about sound, and how I personally perceive it on a daily basis.

The install was painless, the MacOS app is friendly but still powerful and my timing tests with it inline sounded the same as plain old MIDI DIN.
Obviously, it's not gonna be as tight as the old pre-Apple #Emagic#AMT interfaces but seeing the afterthought that #MIDI has become in this ITB world, the MioXL is brilliant!
