Finally, the Lewitt «Ray» could be a #microphone – alongside the few good headsets – for the many #podcasters and #streamers who have no idea about #microphones.
But beware: even this thing cannot replace the (often neglected) acoustic treatment of the room.

Merci d'avance !

🔁 Repouets bienvenus !

So much of that old-timey sound we associate with 1920s music is thanks to the unique (and limited) audio response of the carbon microphone, which was the state of the art for the time.

Here’s a recording of a modern performer singing into a 1920s carbon microphone!

any / / / ger / / types out there with some recommendations?

Ideally I'd like a
/ lapel mic with a line-in and a lightweight with expandable SD memory, or a decent wireless lapel mic that can connect to a usb-c android phone (or voice recorder). I have a Zoom already with four xlr ports, but it's really heavy and I don't generally need something THAT heavy duty for walking-around-outside vlogs. If there's a wireless mic that's good quality then awesome, but barring that at least a line-in mic that I can stick on my shirt collar (assuming I'm not filming something topless lmao) and have it pick up decent audio outside, or even during a convention. I'm hoping to keep everything under $200 (mic plus voice recorder) or under $100 for the mic, but I can go a little higher if it's really good quality.

I've tried a variety of <$30 lavalier mics already and they all kinda suck. I'm hoping if I can find recommendations from a real live human who's actually used it, not bought-out reviews from the manufacturers themselves, I'll have better results. Would be nice to have the new mic+recorder sooner than later, but by Vidcon in June at the absolute latest. Thanks in advance!

Currently already a thing. If I go visit people, do I know that there's an sitting somewhere in the room with its fabulous spatial tech? Silently .. or not?

If I become aware, do I then mention it to my host, and ask politely to turn it off? If they aren't willing to, or maybe someone else is using it at the same time, do I then pack my stuff and leave the building like Elvis 🕺?

How will people who love , don't fret on , perceive me?

Also, don't yank on the microphone stand to adjust it to your height. That will wear it out and eventually it won't work at all. The twisty knobs are there for a reason.
