My decision to cancel a service is not a problem for you to solve.
If the rest of your services are available to me online then this should be also.
Do not make the only cancellation route me telling my decision to a human whose main purpose is finding ways to make me change my mind.
If you have a queue system in place, you need to keep updating people as to their position in the queue, so they can judge whether to stay on the line or call again later.
Also do not make that route a per-minute charge number.
Every delay in responding to my request, every question looking for information, becomes more reason for the Cancellation. You have my request and I'm under no obligation to explain it to your satisfaction.
If I haven't given you my email address at any point don't ask for it as a "security question" (!)
This genuinely made me angry today; if you don't value my ability to make my own decisions then you don't deserve me as a customer. It was transparently obvious why you don't allow people to cancel online; it has everything to do with Retention efforts and nothing to do with 'checking what people still owe', something that can absolutely be confirmed and dealt with online.
Fuck you, McQueens Dairies. I hope your milk sours.
“Let’s give them wrong answers when they search for stuff so they will see more ads” is the legitimate strategy of Google. There are some days where I am convinced that it’s September 2023, I actually banged my head hard on the concrete floor of my garage when I broke my foot in two places and are hallucinating all this while my brain is starved of oxygen before my final moments.

L'Union européenne, création du Capital, au service du Capital, est prête à toutes les compromissions avec le fascisme.
Ghost Jobs for Unicorn Candidates - Lo Ritual de lo Habitual in the era of Late Stage Capitalism:
"Job boards like LinkedIn and Indeed continue to advertise open positions, and workers are actively submitting applications. Yet despite an influx of highly qualified candidates, plenty of desirable job adverts have languished on digital platforms with an increasingly common label: "Posted 30+ days ago".
While the listings may be old, job seekers generally still assume companies are actively hiring for the roles. The truth is more complicated. Some of these are simply not-yet-removed adverts for jobs that have been filled – but some were never meant to be filled at all. These are 'ghost jobs', and they're becoming an increasingly common – and problematic – obstacle for job seekers."
thinking about how we know PFAS get into testicles and how sperm counts have been dropping in the West since for as long as I've been alive (and also for as long as these chemicals have been commercially available) and how the macho men with their obsession of 'virility' and breeding are going to take this betrayal.
It's Capitalism or your balls lads, and your masters chose the Coin over your tatty sacks.
Les milliardaires techbros libertariens sont vraiment la plaie de l'humanité.
Les déchets volants de Musk pourrissent les images scientifiques de Hubble 😱
Lemme get this straight, #BetterHelp helped themselves to $80 out of my account every month for several months while I dealt with undiagnosed #ADHD with no help from them (kinda hard to get treatment when you have to initiate all of the communication and you have raging ADHD). The US FTC sued them and all I get back is $9.70?
Good grief.
OH SNAP, they got sued for selling customer's data TO FACEBOOK. WOW! WHAT A PARAGON OF VIRTUE.

Note to alternate reality selves: if you think others should pay just because you have to pay too, you should actually be focusing on why you are paying and to whom.

Glanced over the wall street journal and they are literally saying that university endowments won’t divest from israel or fossil fuels because they’d lose too much money…
Sorry for the paywall, I don’t have the ability to share the article.
The lock's maker Chirp Systems remains unresponsive, even though it was first notified about the critical weakness in March 2021. Meanwhile, Chirp's parent company, RealPage, Inc., is being sued by multiple U.S. states for allegedly colluding with landlords to illegally raise rents.
P.S. never give cybersecurity spooks clicks even after they go "freelance" or whatever
They™️ are hard at work cutting humans out of the production loop in order to remove the "Salaries" line item from the expences sheet & be able to offer their products to the #market at lower cost.
But... what market?
If They™️ own all production & don't pay anyone for their work, how are people supposed to afford anything, let alone frivolous & idiotic convenience products, a.k.a. 95% of Silicon Valley's output?
Le capitalisme à l'état chimiquement pur : s'attaquer à chaque aspect de nos vies, même les plus infimes interstices, pour les présurer et en tirer du pognon.
Hmmm… American auto manufacturers selling bloated, overpriced, and inefficient cars go running to Congress for some good old fashioned protectionism when threatened with inexpensive and frugal foreign imports.
It’s like déjà vu, all over again!
How many of y’all remember the wave of cheap Japanese cars in the 1970s that caught the American auto industry with their pants down?
Has anyone come across a Google doc/list of all the #vc firms that are buying single family homes in the US and ruining the current and future #housing market for literally everyone? Asking for a friend...
