hey #linux and #kde people on the fediverse, I'd appreciate some help --
I installed polonium recently and wasn't super happy with some of its functionality so I reverted to just using kde as is, but now i'm having some weird behavior where clicking on a hyperlink in discord won't focus firefox to display the link I just clicked on. Is there any way to easily flush old kwin script settings that might be interfering still? I'm not sure where that would live and I'd appreciate help because I really don't want to re-install manjaro but that's the best I got right now lol
Something I miss from #MacOS: Being able to command-click on a Finder window's titlebar, and seeing a pop-up menu of the entire file path.
I can't find any convenient way of doing this in #KDE#Dolphin, other than making the window huge so it can show the entire path, which doesn't work with my workflow most of the time.
Just for the curious, the directory I'm working on now is 127 characters long (full path) and 8 directories deep from /
And we're off, #KDE frameworks 6.2.0 being pushed to our buildmasters, let's make this happen, I've been maintaining these for quite some time now, time to give to the Haiku people :)
Sidenote, most of the patches included are from the work of @3dEyes, so big thanks there, and the ones working on this prior, miqlas, diver, kallisto, korli (and maybe some I forgot to mention here). Thanks!
#Linux users, where do you get your wallpapers? Looking for something cool for my new #KDE Neon desktop. You can also share yours! But remember to add ALT or tag with #ALT4Me so others can help if you are out of spoons
@cuddle
The recent versions of #KDE are quite good - used it on #Debian a while ago for some time. #Gnome is alright for me.
#Xfce is by far, for me, the gold standart. It just works.
Indeed, it fits any role quite nice. To be frank, I drive the default look since it fits the bill for me - no theming at all.
I'm more focused on the things I do with it than how it looks.
The functionality is top. And as you said, the stability of #Xfce is amazing!
🎉 Exciting News! The new Ir GEN 2 Series is here! 🎉
Enjoy quality without sacrificing performance or value. The Ir series marries the enterprise-class hardware from Carbon Systems® with the meticulous OS integration and Linux-first support from Kubuntu Focus®.
After a long long hiatus, I'm trying to finally get back a bit into #KDE / #KDEPlasma development a bit.
Started by tackling with a minor nuisance I had with @kasts, which didn't display the URL of a link so far when hovering it.
Once https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kasts/-/merge_requests/186 is merged, that should be a thing of the past.
This implementation is 90% blatantly copied from @neochat - that's the power of #OpenSource 😊
