Affinity has been bought by Canva, to compete with Adobe.
It was of course a matter of time before Affinity would outgrow its status of sympathetic small-scale Adobe alternative, and be sold for large proceeds.
Canva is into AI. Hopefully Affinity will get some useful AI-powered image processing tools, like upscalers and denoisers, but Canva will probably add generative shit and introduce subscriptions sooner or later.
Going to try creating a sci-fi gun in MagicaCSG. I'm not very experienced in detailed hard-surface modeling, so it's going to be an interesting challenge.

I feel like the dumbest digital designer, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to optimize my social media graphics so they don’t look like pixelated garbage. I’ve read tutorials and watched YouTube videos, but whatever I’m doing is clearly wrong and it’s making me feel crazy. Is it because I’m making web graphics in Indesign? Is it the resolution? Is 150 not good enough? Too good? I’ve been doing this for years but I still can’t figure this out.

Does anybody know the name of this typeface which was prevalent in the 1950s and 60s? People often say it's Stymie Bold Italic, but it isn't. Stymie letters such as 'O' and 'U' are more rounded and the top of the 'A' has serif lines left and right, whereas my examples don't. #typography#graphicdesign#fonts

Started a new MagicaCSG project. This time I chose to assign colors and materials early on, instead of focusing solely on modeling in a single clay-like color first.
