Node-based tools just became non-experimental and are now part of Blender 4.0 beta. They allow you to create custom operators using #GeometryNodes. For that purpose there are also a few tool-specific nodes to access e.g. the current selection. #b3d#devfund
I was playing around with geometry nodes in Blender today and managed to make this chain thing... it's not that great, but I don't have a ton of experience with geometry nodes, so I'm sorta proud of it. 🙂
It takes a curve as input and creates a chain that runs the length of it. The links mostly hook together. 😅
@gleb Turns out it's easier to create a #nebula in #GeometryNodes than with volumes (at least for my meager RTX2070). Geonodes have the advantage that you can simply create the tendrils with curves, twist the curves and then displace particles on these curves.
More hydro erosion RND. I bit better soil transfer. Still needs fixing to get better delta formations. Just need to find good balance between values. Bake time around 5min per landscape(500x500res) #geometrynodes#simulationnodes#b3d
