This is my "Stop the SCOTUS" profile picture, if I used it as a profile picture. He AND Clarence need to be impeached & removed. If Democrats win House & Senate & do NOT expand the court, we will lose the ability to regulate pollution in this country, contraceptives/ abortion pills will be outlawed nationally, marriage equality will disappear, and more.

Samuel Alito & Co. parroted Trump and Fox 'news' talking points that a rogue president isn't too worrisome because officials or the military can simply refuse to do their bidding or they will be prosecuted. In reality, except that a POTUS can simply pardon them before leaving office, and of course, those pardons could not be challenged because they are an official act. So all he needs to do is appoint people he knows will go along with the crimes the second time around.

Trump pardoned Michael Flynn & Roger Stone for their crimes just weeks before #January6th, as they organized dangerous extremists for the insurrection.

And there is this: The Trump-Hitler comparison is a stunning warning. Few Germans or Europeans expected what unfolded after Hitler amassed power. Trump is the only president in recent American history to openly despise the ideals, dignity, and equality upon which the contemporary United States is built.

Waiting for the most corrupt #scotus in history on the absurd immunity case.

If Trump makes another disrespectful toot* that angers Judge Merchan, he'll end up in jail.

How long before Trump ends up in jail or house arrest for contempt of court? Speculate in the comments.

Not my court case, but: the defendant claimed they had dropped something in the well of their car, leaned over to pick it up and, in doing so, their arm pushed the button which changes the speedometer from kilometers to miles. That's why they were driving so fast.

The car is an American version Mercedes S Class. The defendant is a lawyer.

Mmmkay.

President will announce a new effort on Monday to reduce or eliminate for millions of borrowers,
an attempt to revive his goal of providing large-scale relief for Americans struggling to pay off their college loans, a person familiar with the plan said Friday.
Mr. Biden is expected to preview new regulations by the Education Department targeting millions of borrowers,
including those whose loans have ballooned because of accrued interest and others who can demonstrate financial hardship impeding repayment.
The proposed regulations are set to be published over the next few weeks.
Mr. Biden will speak about the effort during a visit to Wisconsin on Monday, which will coincide with an event on student loans with Vice President Kamala in Philadelphia.
The push is a recognition by Mr. Biden and his allies of the disappointment felt by his supporters
— especially young voters
— when the president’s first attempt to wipe out student debt was by the last summer.
The court said that the government exceeded its authority under federal law when it attempted to cancel up to $400 billion in student loans.

If Donald Trump returns to the White House, close allies want to dramatically change the government's interpretation of -era laws to💥 focus on "anti-white racism" 💥rather than discrimination against people of color.

Trump's Justice Department would push to or programs in government and corporate America that are designed to counter racism that has favored whites.

Targets would range from decades-old policies aimed at giving minorities economic opportunities, to more recent programs that began in response to the pandemic and the killing of George Floyd.

Trump campaign spokesperson told Axios: "As President Trump has said, all staff, offices, and initiatives connected to Biden's un-American policy will be immediately ."

Longtime aides and allies preparing for a potential second Trump administration have been laying legal groundwork with a flurry of lawsuits and legal complaints — some of which have been successful.

A central vehicle for the effort has been , founded by former Trump aide , who has called the group conservatives' "long-awaited answer to the ACLU."

America First cited the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in February in a lawsuit against CBS and Paramount Global for what the group argued was discrimination against a white, straight man who was a writer for the show "Seal Team" in 2017.

In February, the group filed a civil rights complaint against the NFL over its "Rooney Rule."

The rule — named for Dan , late owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers — was instituted in 2003 and expanded in 2022.
It requires NFL teams to interview at least two minority candidates for vacant general manager, head coach and coordinator positions.

American First argued that "given the limited time frame to hire executives and coaches after the season, this results in fewer opportunities for similarly situated, well-qualified candidates who are not minorities."

In 2021, Miller's group successfully sued to block the implementation of a $29 billion pandemic-era program for women- and minority-owned restaurants, saying it discriminated against white-owned businesses.

"This ruling is the first, but crucial, step towards ending government-sponsored racial discrimination," Miller said then.

Other Trump-aligned groups are preparing for a future Trump Justice Department to implement — or challenge — policies on a broader scale.

The 's well-funded "" envisions a second Trump administration ending what it calls "affirmative discrimination."

Part of the plan, written by former Trump Justice Department official , argues that "advancing the interests of certain segments of American society ... comes at the expense of other Americans — and in nearly all cases violates longstanding federal law."

Hamilton is America First Legal's general counsel.

Such groups have gained momentum with the 's turn to the right
— most notably its recent rejection of affirmative action in college admissions.

The court ruled that programs designed to benefit people of color and address past injustices discriminate against white and Asian Americans.

In 2021, a federal judge blocked a $4 billion program to help Black farmers

Look, reporters, I'm not going to beg you to cover my #court #cybersecurity #vulnerabilities, but I'm not above it either.

For the three reporters who have written articles about this, and the one who provided invaluable guidance, my gratitude is endless. This post doesn't apply to you, nor "the feds", the cybersecurity experts, or #lawyers (including and especially @eff), who were extremely helpful. The rest, however, should take note.

I've willingly laid my neck on a chopping block, unprotected, for over six months.

My outreach has been exhaustive:

• Attempted to engage with over 150 journalists and #news organizations,
• Coordinated frequently with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (#CISA or "the feds"),
• Consulted with numerous cybersecurity experts,
• Sought advice from multiple lawyers,
• Spoke with ten state and state court CISOs,
• Attempted to talk to several dozen state and county court clerks and judges,
• Sent emails to every Florida State Senator, State Representative, and Supreme Court justice, and to multiple governors,
• Discussed with the staff of multiple U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives,
• Contacted twelve vendors and over 40 employees

I've offered to write articles -- for free.

I've had no fewer than eight background checks done on me.

I've been cyberstalked by the Arizona Supreme Court.

I've put my job and my family's livelihood at risk in more ways than one.

I've made a grand total of $0; in fact, I've invested several hundred.

When I'm able to sleep, it's with one eye open, always waiting for "that" knock on the door.

After my first #disclosure, I prepared for a week to deal with what I expected to be a #media circus. What I received was one preemptive email from a state court #CISO (who was not affected) and one kind person (who is not a #journalist) on the #fediverse.

I've spent over 900 hours discovering, documenting, reporting, and disclosing vulnerabilities, trying to get this fixed on a mass scale, and attempting to contact the above list. I see no signs of this slowing down any time soon. All of this for what is merely a #hobby.

I've done my part. It's time for reporters to step up. The real-world harm these vulnerabilities have caused — and continue to cause — cannot be overstated. The need for widespread awareness and action is urgent.
