#SilentSunday near #LikaLodge : forest strawberries , May blossoms , young trees & wild flowers : overwhelm of tastes, touch & fragrances : almost unbearable happiness!
HvalaAleš! @casar@jon I’ll try the daytime option over Vienna , while having a quick breakfast ;) I booked a seat reservation with my lucky number ;) that must work against the (t)rain gods, right ;) #InterRail#blues#storm
In honour of today's hilarious events, here's the wonderful Rhiannon Giddens performing Elizabeth Cotten's classic "Shake Sugaree".
Both Cotten and Giddens deserve huge places of prominence in the history of American music imo, especially in the rural and Black canon. So if you're not familiar, this is a great chance to acquaint with both.

SLASH: How The Brits Reinvented The Blues
In a new interview with France's RTL, GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash, who is promoting his new blues album, "Orgy Of The Damned", spoke about British blues music, which emerged in the 1960s as a distinct genre that combined traditional American blues with elements of rock and roll. He said...
1960 collection of country / acoustic #blues featuring Robert Johnson, Furry Lewis, Blind Willie McTell, Bukka White, and more of the usual legendary subjects. Compiled by Sanuel Charters for RBF. Sunday listening. @vinylrecords
Seriously heard someone saying they don't listen to many black artists, because they aren't really into rap. Bitch please, feel free to share songs from Black artists from any genre. Here is one of my favorites, if you like this song please check out her other work:
For #musicwomenwednesday , I want to highlight Gladys Bentley, an American #blues singer, #pianist, and entertainer during the Harlem Renaissance.
I drew and foiled this #portrait as a part of a series of 18 #portraits that I #donated to the SF LGBT Center last year, highlighting #lgbtq icons from past and present.
BTW if you posted vinyl collection pics here with the #vinyl hashtag and maybe #music and whatever genre it is (like #blues#jazz etc), you could find some people, you have a good collection. For streaming links to go with vinyl pics I think YT links are preferred here to Spot, but whatever
there are def some dope musics posted here. You can actually follow hashtags too which is fun
I love the blues and jazz ,but I'm too poor to pay for those concerts, Y'all are very fortunate,I tried to see some of my favorites, just can't go out and pay 600 to 700 dollar ticket to pay,I'm good I'll catch it on video #jazz#blues#music
'Ten Dollar Man' is a wildly underrated ZZ Top song. The guitar playing, the stops, it's fucking bonkers. You can REALLY hear how they influenced Curt Kirkwood (of the Meat Puppets) on this one, especially for the Puppets' Up on the Sun era stuff.
