This is how you buy some of the best Alpine cheese: there is a small fortune in cheese (and some butter and yoghurt) in this fridge with payment based on just trusting your customers to leave the money in a post box 🤩🧀
Been waiting for months to do today's hike: The ridge between Pürschling & Hennenkopf, 17km, 1160 elevation meters... Perfect weather, the air filled with the strong scent of fir & pine trees, early autumn light, grand views all around, very steep & super varied terrain!
Today's #MontainMonday is a throwback to one year ago, when I went to Tegernseer Hütte. An awesome hike if you want a feeling of adventure without having too much elevation.
This photo is taken from Buchstein, the harder to reach of the two summits framing the Hut. #hiking#alps
Monday's expedition has been so inspirational & photographically extremely fruitful. Still selecting from hundreds, but considering to start offering prints of some of these (and others)... anyone interested?
My brother is getting married in #Oslo in a little over three weeks. In absolute disregard of the limits of what I'm capable of I decided to fly to #Rome with my #bike, to see if I can make it up there in time. I want to climb over the #alps. I want to experience #Italy on a #bicycle. #Germany and #Denmark are in the way so I have to do those too. After living in the US for four years I need to re-experience European bicycle infrastructure. #Eurovelo here I come. #bikepacking#midlifecrisis
Ticked off one from the bucket list yesterday: Gleirsch canyon, carved out by one of the earliest tributaries of the Isar river, both with an incredibly beautiful turquoise water color. The canyon itself is one of the wildest & Tolkienesque I've ever been too, higher up parts then offering amazing views of the epic Karwendel main range... ❤️
This is one of my absolute stunners. I have it also printed on my wall here. Everything was perfect that day. Truly one of the best things that could happen to me
I'm sorry, but I'll post it repeatedly here because I just love it sooo much
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And I can just recommend printing it! ;-)
Discovered a lovely (new to us) valley today. Tolkien vibes whilst walking the narrow path high above the creek through the canyon, then criss-crossing it numerous times till the end of the valley. Amazing light & colors...
It is winter undoubtedly, but I am still waiting for a sunny day on a weekend, so this is a throwback to last winter for #MountainMonday#hiking#alps#snowshoeing
