It is a fallacy to assume #Bregret is a new thing. It has been a feature of the data for a long time. The data has just been misread by many political commentators, political scientists and media.
This is also a means of #introduction. I am a Professor of Economics at University of Warwick studying the #PoliticalEconomy of #Brexit, among others. My work particularly focuses on understanding the role that #Austerity played in bringing about #Brexit.
Now there is many ways to characterise these protest voters. I do a ton of that in my work on #austerity. But these two graphs point out the most ridiculous #Brexit voters (who probably feel a ton of shame).
I have noticed that same #tweets in news items have gone private, making the whole article pointless. Hope journalists learn from this and stop collating social media posts in the form of #news.
Honestly, a true evil #hacker couldn't have dealt a bigger blow to #twitter traffic and advertising revenue than #Elon blocking all links to #tweets. Bravo.
Deleted all my #tweets too so no more #Twitter for me now. Just keeping it open till I get my refund. All of a sudden, thanks to #Mastodon and the #FediVerse my social world is a brighter, more engaging and more enjoyable place. Thanks for making me feel welcome
You don't need no adblocker on Mastodon (or pretty much any fediverse product) because there's no ads.
And you don't need to block trackers or analytics or worry about information about you being sent to third parties.
If you check your adblocker you'll see 0 things. If you check for trackers for the usual suspects: Google, Facebook, etc, which are nearly ubiquitous on the web, you will not find them here at all.
Do you have any idea how rare that is nowadays, especially on a social media platform?
