I have a #StreamDeck question: I have a mini with a hardwired USB-A cable. I have varying levels of success getting it to work properly with my USB-C only MacBook Pro.
Have you tried this with a dock or an adapter that makes it work for you? If so please name names!
That said, I am also not averse to completing The Circle of StreamDeck Life, and selling the one I have to finance the one I want (: so if you're in the market for a classic, HMU (:
this macro pad, that i paid money for, now won't let me install plugins without signing into a cloud bullshit.
It might have been this way for ages, but i lost the hardware in the move and only just found it again while setting up my new pc
it also turns out profiles are just stored ... on your computer, so all the layout/gui clicking you do for the #streamdeck is just lost when your old laptop eats shit.
StreamController is a brand-new open-source app for enabling and managing the Elgato Stream Deck on Linux
Many of us were using Stream Deck UI, which was a fork from a previous such app which was no longer being maintained. The devs decided to restart the initiative using a different coding language (Python), which would allow them to do a lot more.
Does anyone use a #StreamDeck and #VoiceMod? The voice mod app on stream deck is straight up not doing anything except the censor beep, does not change voices ever. Have to do it straight from the app. Pretty much defeats the point of the app for me
Anyone have experience with #voicemod? I tried it last night plus my #StreamDeck but one or both was always broken and it messed up my mic at the start of the stream. Not sure what if anything I did wrong
I ordered a Stream Deck Mini for my Linux box for macros on Helldivers 2 for stratagems. I figure 6 buttons, two for scrolling pages and four per page for stratagems should be perfect. This way I can really do some proper gaming as I get back into the swing on Twitch and such. #Gaming#GamingonLinux#helldivers2#Twitch#elgato#streamdeck
FYI You can drag icons from the Noun Project app into Elgato's Stream Deck management app. AND You can add a button for any shortcut you've ever added to the dock.
Once again I have an idea for a nice #StreamDeck workflow, then remember its sad-ass official #macOS client, and wonder whether I should replace the latter with #BetterTouchTool.
Some years ago, I gave feedback about the Clockify desktop app. Yesterday, I was contacted by someone from Clockify to talk some more about the feedback, specifically regarding the auto-tracker feature.
As I had stopped using the desktop app, I instead offered to chat a bit about my Clockify Stream Deck plugin, which we the did end up doing today.
Don't forget, if you like to see some application improve, do give feedback!
Use the KM plugin on the button, set the button ID to s/th unique.
Set up a KM Periodic/Cron trigger macro which sets the button title, and have it run every minute.
Bonus: KM looks for that button ID on any active SD page, meaning you can copy/paste the SD button as-is to any page, and KM will update any instance it finds.
Another step completed on my Home Lab journey. PiHole is up and running, and I have my local DNS configured.
Followed a great guide by @chris A fun part was setting up a shortcut on my StreamDeck to turn off PiHole blocking for 5 minutes when I need to test something.
Tweaked it a bit to also alert me when the 5 minutes have elapsed.
Created an Apple Shortcut to do basically the same thing, but available on all my iOS devices!
