a #UX question. If a site has both a signed out home page, and a signed in one (for example a feed or dashboard), what should you see if you're signed in and try to view the home page?

Mostly on how important "for you" is to your whole app, and how useful the generic / content is to a logged in user

One might put "logged out" stuff on a tab, or straight in the feed for a logged in user and they might not need access to the anon version at all.

Generally they're "the same page" in my mind, it's just that the anon version is for "everyone" [queue the socialism theme music]

this macro pad, that i paid money for, now won't let me install plugins without signing into a cloud bullshit.

It might have been this way for ages, but i lost the hardware in the move and only just found it again while setting up my new pc

it also turns out profiles are just stored ... on your computer, so all the layout/gui clicking you do for the is just lost when your old laptop eats shit.

@ainmosni noticed that the top, middle, and last two results in an amazon result were the same two sponsored listings.

some might say that 6 out of 12 is too many sponsored listings, especially when 6 of them are really 2 repeated over and over.

It turns out I had turned my ad blocker off because I thought it might be fucking with credit cards 2fa in payments. It was fucking with it, but (cw)mastercardmegasecurepaymentauth support is also busted on amazon
