Additionally, the U.S. intelligence community released a report on Russian interference in the 2020 United States elections. According to the declassified DNI report released on March 16, 2021, there was evidence of broad efforts by Russia to shape the election’s outcome.
The report detailed a massive disinformation push that successfully targeted, and was openly embraced, by Trump’s allies. The Russian government meddled in the 2020 election with an influence campaign “denigrating” President Joe Biden and “supporting” Donald Trump.
The chief U.S. intelligence office concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin oversaw sweeping efforts aimed at “denigrating” President Joe Biden’s candidacy ahead of the 2020 election.
The report also mentioned that Russian proxies met with and provided materials to Trump-administration-linked U.S. figures.

Kenneth Chesebro, an attorney who helped orchestrate the Trump campaign’s 2020 fake electors plot, pleaded guilty Friday in the Georgia election subversion case to being part of a conspiracy alongside former President Donald Trump and others.
The plea deal is another blow to Trump and a major victory for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who charged Trump and 18 others in the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election. It comes one day after former Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell also pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors.
Chesebro pleaded guilty to one felony – conspiracy to commit filing false documents.

Trump lawyer Sidney Powell pleaded guilty Thursday to illegally conspiring to interfere with Georgia elections.
The second of Donald Trump’s 18 co-Defendants in the sprawling racketeering case to accept a plea deal and agree to testify against her co-defendants. The other is bail bondsman Scott Hall. Both faced charges related to their involvement in a secretive effort to access and copy elections software in rural Coffee County.
On Thursday, Powell pled guilty to that involvement — including entering into a contract with forensics firm Sullivan Strickler. The plea represented a sharp contrast from her lawyers’ arguments in recent court hearings, in which they claimed Powell was not involved with the ELECTION CRIMES in Coffee County. BUT, now she admits guilt.
Powell admitted guilt to 6 counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with the performance of election duties. She must testify against her fellow criminals.
