I had a super obvious idea. Why don't password managers guard against spoofing by checking whether the hostname they have saved matches the site you are trying to enter the credentials into? I was spoofed a month ago and have been thinking about it since. Does anyone know if that's ever been proposed to a browser?

In December #SEC rules came into force meaning that companies publicly traded in the US need to disclose “material” #cybersecurity incidents. I’ve been curious about the best way to find those filings. Filings are accessible through the SEC website in “EDGAR” and appear as “Item 1.05” on Form 8-K. You can search for 8-K filings with EDGAR but most won’t have Item 1.05. The best I’ve managed is a google query like this site:www.sec.gov “FORM 8-k” “Item 1.05” intitle:XBRL”.
