From the ancient ar(t)chive: a unicycle robot animation made as a study of procedural animation.

Things like the robot's tilt angle, bend angle and antenna motion are driven by the position of the character model on a motion path.

Back then, in the early 2000s I was a 3ds Max beta tester for Autodesk. Max wasn't subscription-based yet.

Having hot pot at a Haidilao and I noticed the ceiling had many of these 5x5 grids of reflective circles stuck to it.

Soon enough a food tray distribution #robot zoomed by, scanning the ceiling with a sensor to figure out where all the tables are positioned.
