Pro-Israel billionaires urged New York crackdown on Gaza protests
A handful of powerful businessmen pushed New York City Mayor Eric Adams to use police to crack down on pro-Palestinian student protesters at Columbia University, donating to the politician and offering to pay for private investigators to help break up the demonstrations, the Washington Post has reported, based on leaked WhatsApp conversations.
"The strategy utilised by the Zionist Establishment within Jewish communities and outside these communities, particularly, in the United States, England, France, Germany and Australia is to engage in an intentional falsification of history and contemporary reality when it comes to the supposedly intractable conflict between Israel and the Palestinians."

"As the world witnessed in the case of the destruction of the highly probable victory of Jeremy Corbyn becoming British Prime Minister, these campaigns of destroying opponents of Israeli ethnic cleansing have been extremely potent and successful.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott granted a full pardon to Daniel Perry, a man convicted of murdering a Black Lives Matter protester in downtown Austin in 2020, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles unanimously recommended the move. Perry claimed during the trial that he shot Garrett Foster, who was carrying an AK-47 rifle, in self-defense. Prosecutors argued Perry was seeking out the confrontation. Read more from USA Today.
An arrested University of #California#Irvine professor makes the connection between paying for #police repression of #protest and starving public #education with austerity:
“These police officers out here today: that’s thousands of student scholarships. Thousands of students could’ve been able to go to school and have books and have housing”

“What I saw was students linking arms, hugging each other while being brutalized by the police. I think the only violence we saw that day was from the police.”
The US media vilifies liberal universities as if they were the bastions of antisemitism. But these universities are the safest places for Jews only second to synagogues. The far-right has been successfully attacking universities in red states and is now using antisemitism (any criticism of Israeli policies and solidarity with Palestinians) to crack down on academic freedom in blue states. They care very little about real #antisemitism.
MSNBC and Hillary Clinton are joining the far-right smear campaign against liberal universities. She calls students ignorant and that they don’t know any history. Does history justify genocide? She must believe that “will to power” justifies violence.
The Clintons are the worst kind of Democrats. Bill abandoned the American working classes for money and Hillary is throwing liberal institutions under the bus. #gaza#protest#students

I interviewed two anti-Zionist Jews about their perspective on the protests for #Palestine, one a current grad student at #UTAustin, and the other an alumni. Both were present at the big protest at April 29, and one was arrested—but only one would have been classified as an "outsider," even though they both have deep ties to the school.
I've got their story coming out later this week at Decelerate.news.
“It's time for the people to conduct what I want to call a ‘digital guillotine,’ a ‘digittine’ If you will,'” TikTok creator Rae said on Thursday, who posts under the handle ladyfromtheoutside. “It's time to block all the celebrities, influencers and wealthy socialites who are not using their resources to help those in dire need.”
Another excellent article from Nesrine Malik who writes:
".protest becomes necessary precisely because authorities have not been responsive. And it is defined by asymmetry of power and access to political tools. Politicians have executive power, and protesters have one thing: their voices"
More power to these #students demonstrating for a #FreePalestine. Seinfeld is a Zionist whose wife literally funded the mob of pro-#Israel thugs who physically assaulted the nonviolent #UCLA encampment. #Duke#protest
