🎉 Думаю, може щось придбаю.

👏 Якщо вам цікаве мистецтво й щось сподобалося з картин – дайте знати, можу запитати щодо вартості. Думаю кілька тисяч гривень коштуватиме

All about the Algorithm. New #art #paintings The Algorithm series arose from a mental melding of ancient and modern. I was reading a novel based on ancient Greek mythology, in which the characters regularly made ritual sacrifices to various gods, hoping to earn the gods’ favor and thereby ensure good outcomes for their efforts. Of course, as a 21st century atheist, I thought this was not very clever.

Wifey KILLED this gift for a friend - she seriously did this in like 3 hours last night. Doesn't even come across in the pic how cool this is, she painted (and brought real magic to) my sketch. Has a resin coating over him, and his suit shines.

#art #alttext

This painting is by Jean Carolus & called "The Discussion". It shows a young woman and a young man in an 18th-century parlor. The woman is standing, with her right arm propped on a marble stand. She is wearing a long dress with a full skirt made of pink satin. The hem is scalloped. The bodice is tight, with tight sleeves reaching to her lower arm, and culminating in white layered lace. The same lace is draped artfully around her collarbone and shoulders and is centered with a large baby blue satin bow in the middle of her chest. Her skin is pale, her complexion youthful. Her eyes are somewhat hooded, perhaps in thought. Her hair is loosely tied at the nape of her neck, with the same blue bow as her dress. It is a strawberry blonde. Behind her is a gentleman in a dark suit. His wrists have shorter white lace, and a lace bow is tied around his neck. His hair is longer, reaching his shoulders, and of a dark colour. He leans forward, with his right hand raised as if in question, and a body language that says that he is mid-sentence. He is seated on a table with a white damask tablecloth, and in front of him is a deep plate with a variety of fruit. In the background is the room's wall in light green and white, with some paintings in shadow behind the table.
This is a painting by Konstantin Razumov called "Ritz's Terrace". It shows a young woman in a 1950's style cocktail dress. The dress is knee-length, white, with blue flowers. It has spaghetti straps. She wears black hells and her dark brown curly hair is in an updo under a chic flat hat. She wears short white gloves and a sunbrella. She sits in an outdoor café, on a foldable white chair. A small round table stands next to her, with a crisp white tablecloth. It has a ceramic plat with fruit on it. A waiter in a full suit and tie prepares a drink for her. He does so from a wooden cart with silver terrines. Her body is tilted sideways to show off her legs, and her face is tilted over her right shoulder, looking into the distance. There are other guests further away, but their appearance is blurry, as is the greenery in the background. it is clearly a sunny warm day, and she is the centre of attention.
This is an illustration by John Philip Falter called "Sunday Gardening" (1961). It shows a suburban neighbourhood in the US. Two houses, connected by one wall, sit side-by-side. On the right, the house is somewhat neglected. The mid-coloured wood is stained by age and it shows the typical filigree woodwork from the 1900s. The garden in front of the house is unruly, with various plants of different shades and sizes growing here and there. A dog sleeps in the sun, while its master sleeps, with a newspaper on his face and his feet propped up on his terrace's fence. The houses are separated by a hedge. While the right house's hedge is a dried-out green, growing randomly, the left house's hedge is a deep-green and trimmed meticulously, at this time, by a middleaged man. He is wielding a hedge trimmer with both hands, those clad in white and red gloves, while also wearing a sun-yellow golf top and yellow and black striped shorts. Long black socks and brown leather shoes complete the assemble, together with his round glasses and bolding hair. Behind him is a yellow watering can and a basket with gardening tools. His garden is as meticulous as he is. He has a bright green lawn, very short, with a birdbath surrounded by a ring of perfectly manicured little plants. Behind the lawn is a row of colourful blooms, and then a row, just as neatly, of fluffy bushes. His house is a bright pastel pink with white ornate window and door trimmings, a fifties tv & sun chairs.

Dutch Baroque painter and printmaker Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn died #OTD in 1669. Rembrandt is also known as a painter of light and shade and as an artist who favoured an uncompromising realism that would lead some critics to claim that he preferred ugliness to beauty. via @Britannica
