Are #waterspouts a normal thing in #Oregon? I'm from #Tornado alley and I was under the impression that I had gotten away from them when I moved to #Portland but I heard we had several in the past few days. Not cool! #PDX#weather#pdxtst#PNW
If you're interested in learning the classical Asian game of Go, widely regarded as the pinnacle of elegant game design, the Portland (Oregon) Go Club is teaching beginners are local libraries:
:zerotwo_wow: Here's a second video in the span of 3 days! This time, it's the Gen 1 opening from the Pokemon game series which is short, sweet, energetic, and bloody fun to play :charmander_yay:
I've added an extra touch or two in the video editing phase this time and I'd be curious to hear how people like or dislike them (along with, as always, any input about the audio). It feels like I'm learning just a few little things about editing with each video I put out, and I'm hoping that I can stick with it and get steady progress (unlike the first years of my channel, I'm using the same software (DaVinci Resolve) for a bunch of videos in a row so I can actually build some skills :blobfox_laugh_sweat:
As always, boosting helps a ton, and if you like my music, please consider donating :leafeon_money: so that I can take care of my violin (and my body, but the violin comes first :leafeon_giggle: )
#Portland#pdx has been breaking-in a fresh new #pdxTraffic commissioner (with no bureau director for 6 months...), and Mingus Mapps seems to still be focused on the stack of boondoggle carway projects #PBOT has put in front of him. Seems to think that the members of the Bike + Pedestrian Advisory Committees are here to lobby for more funding for the bureau of traffic to continue the status quo of maintaining the whole transportation system for #cars1stAlwaysOnly. Drivers feeling the $30M cut?
I hope everyone finds someone they love as much as #Beaverton drivers love putting Student Driver stickers on their cars even though they're middle aged at best. #PDX#Portland
#Running update: Tempo, 35 min at 10:45/mi. Will running faster help alleviate my foot numbness? The answer is: no! To be fair, my spm didn't go up that much higher, only about 10 steps. I think I'm just putting pressure on a nerve and just need new shoes and more foot rolling.
Also, I need to stop pausing my watch when I stop to shake out my feet because I got my "fastest" 5k time (not true). Pausing is not being true to the activity!
Portland passes the camping ban today. #pdx needs to git rid of everyone who voted for this shame on the #portland city council. #oregon courts need to undo this unconstitutional mess.
“The city has not shared any information with the public about where someone can legally set up a tent between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.”
