Ignorance of the two Dakotas may be convenient to most who simply fly over, but its alienating as hell to those of us who are living it on the ground.
A seventh Native American tribe in South Dakota has banned Gov. Kristi #Noem (R) from its reservation after she commented earlier this year that tribal leaders benefited from drug cartels.
@br00t4c #Noem is all over RW "news" telling people "the dog was vicious".
She NEVER claimed the dog was vicious before, doesn't make the claim in her book, and was SO vicious her young daughter asked her "where's Cricket?"
If proudly shooting a puppy wasn't disturbing enough, they way they so easily just lie and think they can put one over on us and we'd be too stupid to notice... should show everyone just how little they think of their voters.
Big Journalism's timidity is never more obvious than when, confronted with a blatant lie from a (usually Republican) politician, the news org then frames the lie as a mere mistake.
Example today from ABC News -- headline:
"South Dakota Gov. Noem admits error of describing meeting Kim Jong Un in new book"
Come on, journalists, this just makes you look ridiculous.

Even the macho guys with gun racks on their trucks who are building our deck think Kristi #Noem is despicable. Two of them live on acreage with farm animals. The topic came up when one of our dogs started barking at a new guy he hadn’t met.
The project lead told me last night, “farm folks do not put down their dogs or livestock unless it’s a mercy killing - and we hate doing it. That crazy bitch enjoyed shooting a puppy she was too lazy to train. Just give the dog away!”
2/3: The Goat.
Then #Noem decided that while she was about it she'd kill an old goat too, because she hated it: it was was "nasty and mean", smelled "disgusting, musky, rancid" and would knock her children down.
So she shot it. And then had to walk back to the truck and get another round because the goat survived the first one. So not a clean kill. Didn't occur to her to have a second round handy.
Unlike the dog, this wasn't from necessity, it was from hatred.
She doesn't feel sadness or regret over the need to kill Cricket, or the needless suffering of the goat. Instead she talks about her hatred, and her willingness to channel that hatred into doing "ugly" things.
So we must presume that she is willing to do "ugly" things to people she hates as well. That's ... not something you want in a president.
“I guess if I were a better politician I wouldn’t tell the story here.”. Classic humble-brag. "I'm just folks".
"Noem writes, she realised a construction crew had watched her kill both animals. The startled workers swiftly got back to work, she writes, only for a school bus to arrive and drop off Noem’s children."
“Kennedy looked around confused,” Noem writes of her daughter, who asked: “Hey, where’s Cricket?”
How disloyal of Mike Pence not supporting the guy that tried to have him killed.

What a way for #Noem to waste taxpayer money by engaging in political #bigotry and #hatred in the first place
