S blížícím se koncem Google Podcastů jsem si řekl, že v rámci postupné degooglifikace zkusím něco nového. No a protože jsem si nedávno rozchodil vlastní Nextcloud, začal jsem se poohlížet, co vlastně umí ten, abych měl i podcasty pod svou vlastní střechou.
Co jsem od řešení chtěl? Chtěl jsem mít možnost, jak poslouchat podcasty jak na mobilu, tak na desktopu, a také v autě přes Android Auto. Chtěl jsem, aby si aplikace pamatovala, kde jsem skončil, napříč zařízeními. Zdá se, že se povedlo.
GPodder Sync vám umožní synchronizaci podcastů a sledovaných epizod. Není třeba nic nastavovat, aplikaci prostě nainstalujete a v AntennaPodu nastavíte synchronizaci na váš Nextcloud server, stačí uvést jeho adresu, uživatelské jméno a heslo. Tadá, AntennaPod se synchronizuje s vaším Nextcloud serverem!
NextPod pak s daty GPodder Syncu pracuje automaticky také, v aplikaci hned vidíte své podcasty.
Příklad aplikace Nextpod.Trošku user-unfriendly je přehrávání podcastu v Nextcloudu, to je skryté pod třemi tečkami:
Ukázka, kde se dá spustit v Nextpodu epizoda.Přehrávání pak řeší velmi minimalistický přehrávač, ale mně osobně stačí. Doporučuji zaškrtnout volbu „Store progress while playing“, budete tak mít možnost pokračovat v poslechu podcastu i po znovunačtení Nextcloudu nebo v jiné aplikaci. Tam je to tedy trochu méně přátelské, protože synchronizace probíhá po nějakém časovém intervalu (nezjišťoval jsem jakém), takže se může stát, že v jiné aplikaci budete poslouchat část podcastu znovu, pokud si neuděláte synchronizaci ručně. Ale v mém případě mi to stačí, většinou poslouchám v AntennaPodu.

Jak niedawno pisał Piotr, ilość danych składowanych dla #Mastodon#PolSocial, Tube.Pol.Social #PeerTube i NCH.pl mocno urosła. Potrzebujemy dołożyć dysków do systemu składowania danych fundacji @ftdl by zapewnić możliwość wzrostu tych serwisów i zabezpieczać Wasze nowo napływające dane :)

Genau. #davx5 ist eine sehr wichtige APP im Bezug auf Sync mit einer #Nextcloud und allen Endgeräten. Diese APP kann aber nicht die Filter aus #thunderbird synchronisieren, weil #k9mail keinen import dieser Filtereinstellungen vorsieht. Also bis heute.
Does anybodw know a opensource solution for shared and editable calendars via link? Wanted to propose #Nextcloud calendar but the public links are read only, not writable.
Unfortunately only google calendar seems to work for this case? 😢

Angesichts der enorme Marktmacht des Produkts #Microsoft365 ist es ein Skandal, dass Microsoft 365 aktuell nicht unter der #DMA fällt. Dort sind nur zwei Gatekeeper aufgelistet, nämlich #LinkedIn und #Windows.
Wissenschaftler sich die Verschlüsselung bei #NextCloud angeschaut und drei Angriffe gefunden.Damit kann ein bösartiger Serverbetreiber auf die Dateien zugreifen und diese verändern.
Having previously set one to be a mini web server providing approximate room temperature available in #NextCloud , spent some time this evening working with my second #RaspberryPi Pico W.
Again it is a web server accessible through NextCloud, but this one is a password generator.
Pleased with how it has turned out - a good result.

I saw the other day that German state Schleswig-Holstein is going to switch to fully #FOSS. Which is great and hope it works out for them.
Having set up a fully (F)OSS (desktops, apps, servers, etc) IT env for a large non-profit, might I suggest proper enterprise support instead of a lone coffee-addicted sysadmin who tries to keep systems together with hopes, prayers and duct tape? 🥲
That is not to say that everything was bad. Users liked working with #LinuxMint (still my fav distro), #RocketChat and #NextCloud were popular as well. Zimbra as a mailserver was ok, there were a few complaints about the scheduling tool. #Jitsi worked well, at times. I'm trying to remember the other apps that we used.
We had in-house servers with I believe #Proxmox and #Ubuntu vm's on top, managed by #Ansible. That all worked really well. One or 2 Windows VM's for legacy apps.
If a terrorist organisation set up nextcloud servers for control and communications, there's be no central organisation for law enforcement to go to to demand access to communications. I wonder how that plays out on a global stage... #selfhosted#nextcloud
Huh, looks like @nextcloud Talk can be (or is working on being) federated between Nextcloud instances. That'd be pretty cool. Instant, video, and audio messaging without relying on someone else's platform would be pretty cool. Its hard choosing a platform that works on desktop, Android, and Apple, and is not trying to monetise my children. #nextcloud#selfhosted
Had a serious database failure earlier due to cascading bad decisions. I started deleting a bunch of old data, rather than using #tootctl. This led to a bunch of errors in the #pgsql#docker container.
I moved the database into bare metal using a #nuc with 32GB of RAM and 4 cores. I'm going to use this for other services too, and it was on my roadmap of transition. #nextcloud will be moving to that as well.
Hmm, after having #nextcloud run on my #rpi for a bit I noticed I really don't need it. (Because the video chat just doesnt work as it should).
Maybe I'll just reset the rpi again and focus on some leaner system.
Maybe I'll try with #xmpp this time. Have to check if that has good voice and screenshare options right now. And maybe a web interface.
I haven't really done anything with that for a decade.
