let's see, oh right. .

I must have penned 100 of these by now as I move around the fediverse week to week and sometimes day to day. Anyway here it goes again...

I'm a fangirl. My first console was the and I've been in love ever since. The being my favorite console of all time with games like Goldeneye, Mario 64, and Ocarina of Time being some of the best games ever made. I know most people had a PlayStation then, but I was always a Nintendo girl.

I watch consistently, and sometimes it feels like I've seen the entire genre. Out of nowhere someone will recommend me a film I hadn't seen, and I'll love it. Routinely makes the genre surprise me in a good way. It's gotten to the point that if it's not a horror film I probably won't watch it.

I like to read, and again, with a slant to horror. being my favorite author ever since I read The Shining as a young teen. , especially , is another fixation. I did see the movies before I read the books, so I'm probably not as cool as you.

If you don't love we probably can't be friends. I've been bird obsessed for going on 6 years now. Ever since a house sparrow couple decided to nest in my garage I've become a bird nerd. Honestly I don't think it would be possible for me to love anything more than our feathered friends, and it shatters my heart every time I read about decimating bird populations. Birds are better than people, full stop.

and are another side hobby. Content around the retrotechisphere is certainly in my orbit. I grew up with i386 processors and 9600baud modems in my veins. I would hangout in chatrooms on servers until 2am (my mom HATED it).

That's basically me minus all the neurodivergency causing disasters in my life, but I'm not here to trauma dump. As long as I have an phone and a Nintendo console I'll be happy.

I got this used as a gift. Unfortunately it doesn't give me a picture, despite the original AV cable and the dirt inside being removed. Can anyone help me?

I experimented with subdividing a skybox quad by hand but keeping its UVs intact. Followed by baking a new small texture in the new vertex positions to give more texels to more detailed regions in the texture.

It produces an interesting result but I find the sharp details a bit jarring. Maybe it would work better as a subtle effect.

A skybox image comparison. Left: A quad with the baseline 44x44 texture. Right: The tessellated quad with the stretched UV tetxure. Gives more precision in details but introduces some artifacts.

#introduction :zelda:

Huge #Nintendo fan here! If you're into modern and #retrogaming with a Nintendo fangirl slant then I wouldn't be the worst follow.

I like to post general Nintendo & #Zelda content. The entire Nintendo timeline are my gaming roots starting with the #nes all the way through to the #switch with the #n64 holding a special place in my heart.

You'll see me posting gifs Tumblr style from #retro archives or modern Nintendo art. I adore all the characters so much. :kirbydance:

Same as with Wave Race 64, here is the Shindou (Rumble Pack) version of Super Mario 64.
These were rereleased versions of both games in Japan with little tweaks and added Rumble Pack support.

This one took me by surprise as I've never come across a magazine reviewing the Shindou (Rumble Pack) version of this game before.
You can play this version on the Japanese Switch NSO service btw. You only need a regular subscription as well as a Japanese account to download this app.
