I think the difference between a cult and a religion is the number of followers. If Islam or Christianity were to have a few thousand members (a little minority) we would 100% consider them cults. And terrible/crazy/primitive ones for that matter.
These people are not giving up, sharing these ridiculous garbage photo ops and spreading it like it's the proof of Muslims and Jewish fighters praying at the same time while serving the Genocidal army of IDF.
I guess they are counting on their followers to be ignorant and stupid to not know that no Muslim EVER pray towards Mecca with their shoes on the prayer mat, with an exception when the person is badly injured in battle and unable to remove his shoes (or wash them before the prayers).

FYI:. I am anti theist, grew up in Muslim Iran, but chose to become a humanist with respect of religion as a personal matter, but fighting it if becomes an institution enforcing its laws on others.
The motivation for armed combat with others would require it be an act of State, not of religion.
The concept of "Jihad" would indicate the aggression is less of an intervention, but in fact an act to reduce ranks of other creeds, and to enlarge the aggressor's creed.
The prejudice on, and mongering of, violence within the tenets of the creeds would say you need to avoid allowing them to bootstrap, and cleanse their wrong doing as such.
This is where religions validate their violence by making their creed a State.
