For our #MorningMoments today, tell me what you have planned and what you hope to do this upcoming weekend.
For me, I have a Spectrum technician coming out between 1pm - 2pm today to check what's been going on with our internet. Hopefully they fix or replace the things that need to be fixed and/or replaced.
Work stuff as usual, then of course video games throughout the day.
Thinking about my Linux installation, Garuda Linux. It's great, I mean really really good, but it's run by the type of Linux Elitists that look down on users like me and I don't feel particularly welcome or keen to become part of that community*. So I'm considering a hop to a new Distro.
I'm used to Arch distros now (RIP Antergos) and I really appreciate Rolling Releases so the first candidate that springs to mind is Manjaro Linux. It even has an unnofficial Gamer Edition "spin" (fork).
What's more, I could use Manjaro to obliterate that Windows partition that still exists on my SSD, preserving all the data in my Garuda Home directory and simply copy it over between the dual Linuxes. Then I delete Garuda and expand Manjaro across the whole 2TB SSD.
Two birds, one stone? 😃 Am suspicious, solutions are rarely this neat...🤔☺️
*Like the Fedi, the political attitudes of certain groups (Distros/Instances) tends to be something you find out after you've joined up. Distrowatch needs a checkbox for Linux Elitism 😁
I've made it to level 47 in Diablo IV so far and almost done with Act III. I've managed to do all of it solo without many issues, many deaths or anything similar.
I actually love when a game this fun can be done solo or with friends. I love to play solo most of the time, but then do raids, dungeons or whatever requires 3 or more people with clan members or friends.
Diablo IV is my first experience with Diablo and I'm absolutely enjoying it.
No spoilers here! What an amazing DLC this was. Just as good if not better than the original game itself. CDPR truly got this game right, again, for the second time in my opinion!
Now, to wait for Cyberpunk 2, or whatever they call it. Though it's going to be a long wait!
I think Twitter made me feel like a ghost shouting into the void for so long that it’s been incredibly overwhelming in a good way coming here and having people actually engage with me :blobheartcat: I really appreciate the vibes here and it feels like a much better atmosphere for people who genuinely want to make friends rather than just build a following #gamer#introduction
Started a brand new game the other day of Cyberpunk 2077 since I had completed it week one when it released. I did this because it's the best recommended way to go for the new DLC, Phantom Liberty.
Just as the first play through, I'm absolutely loving the game and all of the good updates that they have made to it.
The upcoming "Posthuman Gaming" from Poppy Wilde explores the relationship between avatar and #Gamer in the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game #WorldOfWarcraft.
