I know, right!? My novel has a gaming and learning environment set into it, on top of characters behaving in the real world. Avatars and reality, not really jumping to post human yet but definitely having to contend with AI.
This is where post-Gen Z is living. Not sure the older gens will get it fully, ever.
@kazarnowicz I sometimes think current late stage humans are over confident. Especially when you read ancient tablet inscriptions and realize people were bitching about taxes 3 thousand years ago, and experimenting with metals, studying the stars, assassinating tyrants, etc. If we could time travel forward a thousand years, some of us could figure it out, still fall in love and bitch about taxes.

I mean think about game simulations. Do the unskilled stay at level one forever? Some people may cash out mid-level. Others are going to task themselves to master the last level possible regardless of how they started. So maybe some die of future shock, there are probably some with indomitable will and enough brains to figure out the game and keep on truckin'.
@kazarnowicz Now me, I am probably a mid-level player! 🥰🤣😂🤣😅 Friday, my work laptop turned into a brick. I tried my back up laptop and the Windows was too outdated to interact with our SharePoint system. I had to borrow someone else's back up laptop and spent yesterday trying to get anything to work. I went to a meeting and told everyone I was conducting an analysis with pen and paper and to get over it. I mean, my regression to prelaptop was quick and seemless. HA!
@kazarnowicz I've been thinking about this. I think you are envisioning such a huge shift in human cognition coming that it is almost hard to even imagine.
I was watching this gentleman last night demonstrate calling his wife without using a phone or a screen or keyboard. It was just AI driven and a message flashed on his hand. It was a Ted Talk. He was taking about seamless knowledge and communication just woven into the atmosphere, in your clothing, in you.
@kazarnowicz It seemed like god-like power. How long will it be until a group of the well-resourced and well-connected humans leap forward and leave the rest of us behind? Eventually, how would we even recognize them as fellow humans?
