Als Belegschaft dieses einzigartigen Ladens blicken wir voller Stolz und Freude auf das gemeinsame Engagement für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur seit 1986 zurück; ob als Ideengeber für das #LirumLarum-Lesefest der Stadt @freiburg, mit Aktionen zum #WelttagDesBuches für Schulklassen und zuletzt auch eigener #OpenSource, wir waren stets mit #Herzblut bei der Sache 🥰

Moin mein lieblings-#Fediverse :neocat_happy: Kann mir jemand eine gute #Marktplatz Instanz empfehlen, auf der man alten Technik-Kram verscherbeln kann? Quasi von mittelalten AM4-CPUs bis zu 20MB Platten mit ST506-Schnittstelle?
Nachtrag: Wenn möglich, sollte die Instanz Benutzer*innen aus DE oder dem EU-Ausland im Fokus haben, das kommt mir bzgl. Versandkosten und Zölle entgegen :neocat_laugh_sweat:

A friendly remind, that the Fediverse, is not managed by a wealthy organization or business, funded with corporate sponsorship, paid ads, or subscriptions. The Fediverse is a group of Fedi Instances (servers), managed voluntarily, but regular people, who like yourself, wanted a better social media experience.
Your administrator pays for real servers, with real-world cost, such as storage and bandwidth. The more users, the more storage and bandwidth, the more the cost.
If you're able, please consider reaching out to your Fedi Administrator, and inquire if you can make a voluntary contribution.
According to FediDB, monthly active users on the fediverse have dropped to 1,005,573 😳 Looks like they might drop below 1 million if the downward trend continues.
The For You Feed is a very efficient way to make sure you don't leave the app but an inefficient way to consume a never-ending firehose of content.
The catch-up feature on @phanpy (by @cheeaun) is one of many alternatives that give you more control over your media intake. It's how I scroll through my Mastodon and other #Fediverse feeds on daily basis.
Social media doesn't have to be a doomscroll of random events. It can be better.
