Something transition has given me is an appreciation for being fat.
While I was often fat before when moving through the world as a guy, and was bullied for it at times, it was something slightly embarrassing but didn't affect my life too much. As I connected with being trans fem, and with my womanhood, it was like activating a tripwire inside with all the socialization against fat women and shame about body shape and aesthetics sprung out at me. It had been there all along waiting.
I've had times I feel awful about my body, and even had a run in with the beginning of an eating disorder, as well as body dysmorphia. But I think being a trans woman has given me something that very few AFAB cis women get to have: an appreciation for what the fat does for my gender-affirmation.
Fat is my curves. Fat is my soft face. Fat is my cuddliness. Fat is a joyful part of my femininity.
I hope I can help bring this to other fems and women, both cis and trans.

Does anyone know of some good books where the hero, or main character, is fat? I don't mean like a few curves, I mean a big belly and such. It's really like, I mean, why even have a fat character if he's gonna lose all the fat within, like, the first chapter? And why does it always have to be a guy?

If this sort of #weight-based #medical bias happens to any of y'all, politely tell the #doctor (during your visit) that you want them to write in your file that they are refusing ordering tests for you because of your current weight. This usually causes them to order the test anyways because they do NOT want a malpractice suit. Remember: You want to make a paper trail to hold them #accountable.
