Ayé, mon #Pixel4a n'est plus supporté par Google. Je vais donc pouvoir installer #CalyxOS ou un autre du même genre. J'avais déjà posé la question, mais des avis sur les différents #AlternativeOS pour le Google Pixel ? Qu'est ce qui est le plus simple, plus sympa ? Est-ce qu'on peut facilement faire d'abord une image de son téléphone au cas où ? Des sites #recommendation ?

/e/OS est excellent. Je l'utilise au quotidien, sans grandes difficultés. C'est vraiment utilisable par tous. Certaines fonctions (comme le partage de position sur Signal) ne marchent pas, car utilisant les Services Google Play, mais sinon, la majorité est compensée par Micro G.
Par contre, si on est habitué à utiliser les outils de Google au quotidien, la transition peut être plus difficile... #eOS#murena#privacy

Etant vraiment très limitée point de vue place sur mon ancien téléphone, j’ai acheté un Samsung S9 reconditionné avec l’idée d’installer e/Os dessus pour fonctionner sans Google. Hélas, il semble que c’est un modèle qui vient des USA : SM-G960U1, non compatible avec ce système 😥 Tentative ratée donc. Aucune mention du numéro de modèle sur les annonces du site (connu) où je l’ai acheté. #eOs#privacy#samsung

Oh mais je viens de découvrir que depuis la version 1.14 de /e/OS (Android dégooglisé), on a Talkback FOSS (le lecteur d'écran d'Android mais dégooglisé) !!!

Now that I know there is a screen reader in my /e/OS phone (Talkback FOSS), I've tested to navigate in my phone with it. And there is a huge problem: all apps buttons on the home are unlabelled (the text bellow the icon is not read). So blind people can't use these phones.
@murena I just noticed that the FP5 preorder is now shipping from mid October.
Is this just for new orders or are all orders delayed?
And is the release of /e/os for FP5 also delayed?
@gael@e_mydata No offense, but the hardware of the #MurenaOne is ancient and unsupported. Even though this is a flagship device for #Murena it is stuck with #Android12. There is no chance that anyone familiar with the #Android devices would recommend this device. And personally, I really wish you would take care of getting #WebView and Android updated on a regular basis first. Pretty much stopped recommending #eOS because it pretty much always lags behind in terms of security.
@jon Hi Jon, I use Tusky on non-googled android, I had Fedilab but didn't use it much so uninstalled, I was testing sh1tt3r but haven't used it much so... on #eos , #debian and #Windows I use the web interface in #firefox mainly for simplicity's sake, I did use an app on eos for a while but defaulted back to the web version.
