We just commemorated the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, when the world was in the thick of WWII & Americans were UNITED in the war effort. That unity helped defeat fascism in 1945.
We’re now living with the PROMISE of an era of real fascism if Convicted Felon Donald Trump & his thugs prevail in 2024.
That nightmare can become our reality if we don’t spread the TRUTH & GET OUT THE VOTE.

Later in the day, Hoffman & another co-defendant, state Sen #AnthonyKern (R), were in the crowd when #Trump made his first appearance in the battleground state since his #criminal#conviction in #NewYork. To cheers, the fmr president called his NY #criminal trial “rigged” & said that “there was no crime.”
While #Biden has so far avoided naming #Trump during his time abroad, he has increasingly warned of the dangers posed by the kind of #authoritarian & #isolationist impulses the fmr president has embraced in his push to return to the #WhiteHouse. #POTUS, who has said in the past that America’s very #democracy is at stake in the coming #election, …[has juxtaposed] #DDay’s 80th anniversary to sound the alarm about the advance of #antidemocratic forces across the globe.

Biden said “yes” when asked in an ABC interview if he would rule out pardoning Hunter Biden…. Biden also said yes when the interviewer asked if he would accept the trial’s outcome.
The president has said for months that he would not pardon his son.
“I’ve been very clear — the president is not going to pardon his son,” WH press sec Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters in Dec.
Hunter Biden is accused of making false statements in filling out paperwork to purchase a gun in 2018. The max sentence for the most serious charge is 10yrs in prison.
Hunter’s trial is unfolding days after #Trump was convicted of all counts in his #FalsifiedBusinessRecords 2016 #ElectionInterference trial in #NewYork.
Trump has vocally criticized the trial as “rigged”….

The GA Court of Appeals on Wed ordered a halt to the proceedings in the election interference case against Trump & 8 co-defendants pending the outcome of their appeal seeking to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney #FaniWillis.
The order, issued by the full appeals court, means the case against #Trump & his co-defendants, accusing them of a #criminal#conspiracy to try to overturn his defeat in the state, will almost certainly not be scheduled for trial before the fall #election or even the new year. It remains unclear if the case against the 6 remaining co-defendants who did not sign onto the appeal will proceed.
The intensity of #anger & open desire for using the #criminal#justice system against #Democrats after the verdict surpasses anything seen before in #Trump’s tumultuous years in national #politics. What is different now is the range of #Republicans who are saying #retaliation is necessary & who are no longer cloaking their intent w/euphemisms.
#StephenMiller, a fmr snr adviser to #Trump [& pure concentrated evil] who still helps guide his thinking on policy, blared out a directive on #FoxNews after a jury found Trump #guilty of falsifying financial records to cover up… his 2016 [#ElectionInterference].
