After the 2020 presidential #election, as some #Trump supporters falsely claimed that President #Biden had stolen the office, many of them displayed a startling symbol outside their homes, on their cars & online: an upside-down #AmericanFlag.
One of the homes flying an inverted flag during that time was the residence of #SupremeCourt Justice Samuel A #Alito Jr, in Alexandria, VA, acc/to photographs & interviews w/neighbors.
The upside-down flag was aloft on Jan 17, 2021, images showed. #Trump’s supporters, incl’g some brandishing the same symbol, had rioted at the Capitol a little over a week before. President #Biden’s inauguration was 3 days away. Alarmed neighbors snapped photographs, some…were recently obtained by The NYT. Word of the flag filtered back to the court, people who worked there said in interviews.
U.S. President Joe Biden is set to give a commencement address this Sunday at Morehouse, a historically Black college in Atlanta that counts Dr. Martin Luther King among its graduates. But the president’s coming speech has sparked consternation from the graduating class. Some students see Biden using Morehouse as a political tool for Black votes in an election year, and others are considering ways to protest his Middle East policies without overshadowing the celebration for their families. Today, Texas Governor Greg Abbott pardoned a convicted murderer and virulent racist who, after writing text messages suggesting he would kill a protester and then claim self-defense, killed a protester and claimed self-defense. I assume Biden must have spent his whole life wanting to be President.
And when he finally became one in his late 70s after decades in politics, he has blown it & become Genocide Joe & now risks losing to Trump.
Why? Is it because he's too steeped in the American/ Israel industrial/ military complex, donor interests & aggressive zionism to know or do otherwise.
But even that doesn't explain why he won't use his power & stop the slaughter.
