I need to buy a #Pixel and find out how much I hate #Android these days, bc I’m growing frustrated with #ios.
I have a long history with birth, and I’ve always ended up with iOS bc it feels more natural, more human. Android has, to me, always had a slight uncanny valley problem.
Also its primary App Store is a malware-infested demon zone.
But at least it doesn’t keep recommending dating apps to me, a happily married person.
#android help please. Was wondering if anyone who is running android 13 can advise I have a doc icon that I would like to change for another icon however, when flicking up and down on the item within the doc, there appears to be no way of removing that particular item from the doc. How do I move another icon on my home screen into the dock and get rid of the icon in the dock that I no longer wish to keep their? Thank you to anyone who may be able to advise.
I am running talkback 13.1 and android 13. I do not know if it is called the doc on android but I am referring to the bar of icons at the bottom of the screen.
I love shooting candids, and it's these little slice of life photos that really help show off how much phone cameras have improved. Shot from the telephoto on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, about an instant before the three ran off for the playground. I hope my daughter remembers what they were talking about when she gets older. 🥰 https://flic.kr/p/2oxj7ia
So now that #mastodon has been around for a while, what is the hands down best #app for #android? Quirks of the web app are getting old and I wish for a better experience.
I updated my #Samsung S21 yesterday to #Android 13 and #OneUI 5.1, and it wiped all of my data from all of my Mastodon apps, weirdest thing, no other apps were touched. Don't know whether it is how #Moshidon and #Megalodon store data and they are forks of each other. So just beware when you update to have your login information.
I've recently discovered a game called Feudal Tactics that very much scratches my civ5 itch. It's very basic, but lots of fun. Highly recommend. https://github.com/Sesu8642/FeudalTactics
Finally gotten #MissRirica to work on the #MacOS side of things! (Which will also translate to #Android if I use that version).
Bad News:
A. Ya need to generate an access token from the #Misskey instance you’re on via the web interface among the ‘Settings’ section.
B. Not surprisingly, the app’s interface is… Um…
DID YOU KNOW… that if you use #Mastodon on the web, you can follow a hashtag and get the updates in your home feed?
Simply click on or search for a #hashtag and then tap the little icon in the top right of that column (the person with a plus) to start following that topic.
> After this experiment, I installed a text-based launcher called OLauncher [1] on my Android phone that gets rid of app icons. OLauncher lets me have a few apps on my home screen, but they're all described in text instead of with a graphic. I made sure nothing habit-forming was there, only single-purpose tools like my calendar, to-do list, and Google Maps.
