"Last week, the #Andalusian regional government announced that as a result of the lack of #water, the region's growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) would be weighed down by more than 2%."
It's that time of year when hot temps 🥵 send us running for the cool river waters! Cool, fun and unique! We discovered it in 2020 and it fast became very popular among our guests! Our favourite summer walk and comes highly recommended.
It's 37C outside. You are in the midst of a fierce spanish summer. Either "head for the hills" or as we did today, head to some dramatic local gorges and refreshing, cooling waters. Marvellous!
After a night in the hills I came back home to Lanjarón to be met by the towns annual week-long fiesta. A celebration of colour and noise. Senses a bit blown. Enjoyed it, but think I prefer the quiet of the hills.
Yesterday we hiked the Ruta Gollizno at Moclin. A beautiful descent into a dramatic gorge with rope bridges and a heavily vegetated (cool!) river valley, followed by a tough ascent in the afternoon heat back up to the town. The cold beers afterwards were most welcome!
