The road into Lanjarón from the Alpujarras with the prominent long valley of the Río Lanjarón that leads up to the snow capped peak of the Cerro de Caballo. At 3009 metres asl this is Europe's most south westerly 3000+ metre peak.

Heading up to the hills tomorrow, hoping to enjoy some winter mountains. Weather forecast isn't great, with snow showers and low cloud, so maybe we shall be heading down with tail between legs? 😂. Anyway, any mountain trip is enjoyable, no matter what the weather. Looking forward to it!

What a fabulous sight to finally see the south side of the Sierra Nevada with snow. It's not a lot but it's a start. This is an image looking north up the Barranco de Poqueira towards Mulhacén, the highest mountain in mainland Spain (3482m)

It's that time of year when hot temps 🥵 send us running for the cool river waters! Cool, fun and unique! We discovered it in 2020 and it fast became very popular among our guests! Our favourite summer walk and comes highly recommended.

We arrived at the "lake with no name" late afternoon. At the exit of the lake a delightful stream fell out of the hidden valley. Don't normally take a tripod with me but yesterday I did. This meant I could slow the shot down to slow speed and close the aperture right down. Came as a complete surprise when I saw the subsequent image and the path made by water droplets seemingly jumping out of the stream. A memorable place.
