‘not everyone has the same colour, the same language, or the same customs, but they have the same heart, the same blood & the same need for love.’ #art#history: i couldn't decide which image i'd draw to celebrate the birth (#otd in 1906) of the glorious josephine, so here are two. if anyone merits multiple illustrative odes, it's la baker. why? May the artwork bring to your soul the joy and independence that living free -- thinking, speaking, and journeying -- engenders, nurtures, and strengthens.
When I first saw Hughes House, the 1898 home (now a museum) built by the Pacific Ocean near Port Orford, OR, I thought, "This is a place to grow up in, be a child in, run about and play in!"
And it is good to know that, at one time and for awhile, there was a family in this house, there were children, and they did run and play through this magical place.
I'm really loving this color combination these days. Life is short, so I'm going to play with the colors I want to play with when I want to play with them.
