@Hypx yeah, the grid "can" run on #methane, but it is a rapidly falling source of #electricity production, while #renewable electricity is the fastest growing source at 44% of EU production. Whereas green hydrogen accounts for less than 1% of world production. The account and ballastics of the strike on vehicles leave absolutely ZERO room for doubt: deliberately targeted the aid agency in . The clearly marked vehicles were spread out over a 1.5 mile route previously agreed with the IDF. They were targeted in succession, as passengers from the first vehicle were fleeing to the 2nd, then 3rd vehicle. Today Swedish #masks brand #Airinum is launching #Hale, a portable #airpurifier. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/airinum/hale?ref=discovery. It claims to remove 99% of airbone particles incl. virus. There are no certifications like #K95 or #FFP2 for purifiers, other than #HEPA, which doesn't give the same level of assurance. This piece of research from Aug22 is promising though https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35947419/, but Airinum stopped short of guaranteeing safety from #COVID for @longcovid sufferers. Thoughts? It would be a gamechanger for me

@Krise_DIY @longcovid what Airinum did tell me is that the rate or 'Clean Air Delivery Rate' () was 8.7 m³/h. The research I attached in my original post mentions ">99.97% at 7.1 ventilation volumes", but I cannot find the unit. If it is indeed 7.1m³/h, then it sounds like the Hale is exceeding the ratio.

@Krise_DIY @longcovid yes, this one is a personal #airpurifier, that only works if you stand within a certain range. It sounds like you are talking of a purifier for an entire room (classroom type), which is a different beast, hence the differences in volume.

I cannot find any references to this speech anywhere else than on 'Les Spectateurs', which itself is not a reputable #media outlet (in fact, I can't find any trace of them outside #Xchan). Given the implications of this supposed request for the abolition of the #UNveto, it'd be extraordinary it's not mentioned by any media. I'd rather be paranoid than sorry.

@RadicalAnthro it’s #journalism as it should be, essential #storytelling that is missing so terribly from mainstream #media, I am surprised to see it come from the #BBC who generally have been so biased on #Gaza coverage. I am concerned as #UNRWA pulls out end of Feb, there’ll be hundreds of thousands of untold stories as #Palestinians die faster and the West just “resigns” itself to #genocide complicity, in an ultimate move of moral bankruptcy and cowardice. But I am also thinking of the Red Crescent female member of staff who was on the phone with Hind (and later looped in the mum), all the while, consoling her, reading to her. There is no greater anguish than having to reassure a child with the knowledge you cannot protect them. Imagine the effect on her. On her family. On all those bearing witness.
