There is a somewhat substantial political movement in France (and not only) about withdrawing support for Ukraine, winding down our alliances, leaving Europe, etc.
This is primarily the far left and right spitting out the Russian rhetoric that this will lead us to war if we don't do that.
People take for granted that we live in a free country because our allies saved us.
Europe, NATO, and our various alliances with democratic countries are the backbone of our modern civilized world.

@dimillian In the US it’s primarily the far right and the Trump republicans that hold that ideology. Not that the far left here doesn’t have its own issues…
Globally, people have been getting fed a steady diet of misinformation and propaganda for almost a decade now. There’s been an assault on science and intellectualism that has undermined critical thinking and rendered them either too lazy or too pea brained to vet anything themselves. 😕

@ctietze @dimillian I feel like, globally, we were moving very rapidly towards the “global village” concept: We all need each other to make this work. Then suddenly several world leaders pulled the emergency brake, slammed the car in reverse and drove across a few countries lawns before speeding off a cliff . :(

I’ve heard there were a lot of people calling in sick to work today. Couple folks said their symptoms were dormant for years and flared up last night. There’s also been a small outbreak of Congeneritis…hit a few folks pretty hard by me.

A seventh Native American tribe in South Dakota has banned Gov. Kristi (R) from its reservation after she commented earlier this year that tribal leaders benefited from drug cartels.

The Crow Creek Sioux Tribe in central South Dakota voted Tuesday to ban Noem from its reservation, citing her cartel comments…just two of her state’s nine reservations have not banned Noem from visiting.

The majority opinion ruled that this decision applies to all elections including for POTUS. Today, based on the precedent set by that ruling, we would like to present our arguments that Joe Biden did not win the 2024 election, despite winning 315 electoral votes and winning the popular vote.

They are extremely book smart.

I think, as someone else noted, it’s a sense of superiority and privilege that clouds their thinking. Sort of a “I’m super smart, clearly my message will be heard more loudly!” thing.
