I may not have a cool asset flipped map (yet) but at least i got more zombies then the "Day Before" zombie extraction game :bloblaugh:

I am really thankfull 🙏 to our users. We have a lot of patronage and our finances are strong 💪 and that means techhub is here for the long run. I know some instances out there are not so lucky. Again thank you.
p.s. I know the hub is out of date, I've been real busy lately. I will try to update the financial transparency page before end of year.

My bad. It looks like this feature is only available to users (non-admin) if the server is in closed registration.
I think there is an issue opened for this on github, because this can also be used to add the new user as a follower which would be practical even for open registration servers.
I guess for now the invite link is https://techhub.social/auth/sign_up 😅

Looks like the s3 bucket switch/transfer went smooth. Some files are still transferring, but all should be done by the end of the maintenance window.

@spaceflight cache has been cleared, which mean files have to be re-cached on the storage. So yes, in some case you'll have to click on them to refresh.

TechHub.social shows another cute mastodon on the bottom left corner of the advanced web interface. A nice little detail for the update. It seems like this one has two server decks instead of monitors. Let's hope this creature doesn't fall on those! 😅 But I think you need to include those who don't use an advanced web interface for this experience as well! 😁

@vintprox yes someone recommended I use the bing AI to generate the mascot and header for the server. That's the best result it provided me. They sure are cute 😁

Did you know that I'm not paid or making any money for the dozens of hours I spend every month maintaining this place? So next time instead of complaining, maybe offer a solution like Rodion did.

@vintprox no it doesn't. but I think simply taking the image in GIMP (or any other vector image software) you could "easily" remove the background so to produce a transparent image.

    Hey everyone!! Very sorry about that unexpected downtime, I was upgrading NGINX on the server from 1.18 to 1.25, and despite nginx -t giving a passed test with no problems, and no reports from gixy, restarting caused an SSL error, so I had to go and fix it.

    Please Block “Project92” / “Barcelona” / “Threads” in accordance to the FediPact

    Facebook is going to data harvest your instance’s userdata, in order to protect them you need to defederate the “threads.net” domain!

    250+ Instances have already done so, and thousands more have pledged to do so!

    There is a huge drift between those who wants to pre-block and those who will federate cautiously. Do not try to convince me, I have read all of the opinions on the subject and my mind is set.
    If you do not want to be here when Threads federate (they haven't yet) then you can switch instance.
