Tip for Firefox users on Windows 11: if you notice that your emojis suddenly change to the weird Microsoft version, then try this to fix it:

• Navigate to about:config.
• Press "Accept the Risk and Continue".
• Enter font.name-list.emoji into the search bar.
• Edit the value to move Twemoji Mozilla to the beginning of the list.
• Click the little check mark to save.
• Close the tab and refresh the other pages.

on Windows 11, turning off location permission breaks the clock in the taskbar and on the lock screen. Other clocks will continue to work, but those two will not update when the system timezone changes. Bug was reported at least two years ago, Microsoft's suggestion is to reinstall the display driver? :blobfoxupsidedown:​

Update: Just in case it was unclear, reinstalling the driver will not fix this. You need to enable location, re-enable automatic time zone setting, and then reboot.
